Deliberate deceit

Was sold a defective Q5 deliberately. Two gray Q5's were available the one without the blind spot indicator was sold to me instead of the Q5 I had reviewed online. I will never use nor recommend this dealership for service or sales. I have informed family and friends I was sold a lemon at Newton Audi.

Another successful service appointment!

Thank you for another prompt and trouble free service appointment! Two manufacturer recalls completed successfully in addition to a 4-wheel alignment completed to ideal specs. While I did not purchase my Audi in Newton, I’ve had it serviced at Audi Newton numerous times, and have been completely satisfied every time! A big thanks to Marc Scalera for providing answers to all of my questions, keeping me informed during each of my vehicle service appointments and for providing a courteous and professional customer service environment!

Roger, it's wonderful to hear that the Audi Newton team delivered such a high standard of service! Thank you for taking the time to leave us a five-star review, and support our business. We hope to see you next time!

Props to Marc A. Scalera.

I took my Q5 in for a repair at Audi Newton after discovering that the front left fender had become unsecured. I made an appointment not knowing what to expect. There was a possibility that the fender would have to be remounted, requiring a 3 hour job. Marc A.Scalera took the car into the shop. As I was settling in for a long wait, he returned in 5 minutes with the fender re-secured. No charge. Big props to Marc!

Service Department worst of the worst

Service department worst of the worst Went to the dealership over ten times, my vehicle was in the shop for 52 days within a 3 month period since dashboard cluster kept indicating remote key not detected. It’s safe to say they didn’t have a clue what they were doing, and when they finally fixed it, on the drive home I realized the sunroof only retracts a quarter of a way and the sunshade 3 quarter of the way. I spoke to Marc Scalera (service advisor) and he told me it’s just a setting they have to reprogram - “a quick fix” - and to bring the vehicle in a week because they’re busy. Came back a week later and after waiting a couple of hours, Marc says they cannot reprogram it, a mechanism broke, and they need to disassemble the sunroof and need the vehicle for 3 or 4 days, and the next loaner available in 2 weeks. Two weeks later I receive a phone call to reschedule the appointment for another week because they don’t have enough technicians. A week later, when I returned Marc told me they don’t have any loaner available and they only have one technician working. If that was the case, they should have plenty of loaners available and it’s very blatant they’re giving me the runaround. When I asked Marc why he didn’t notify me, he responded “I didn’t know you were coming” - so much for service advisor. This happened under their supervision and negligence on their part - they showed no remorse. It is apparent they don’t intend to fix the sunroof because is to complicated for them. The first day I took the vehicle to rectify the issue with remote key not detected, Marc Scalera called me and told me that they picked up an error code on my MMI and for them to fix it is going to cost $1,000, but today is my lucky day and they will do it for $750. I told Marc first of all I didn’t bring the vehicle there for that and second of all there nothing wrong with my MMI, he told me that it has the potential of going bad. Think about that - would you pay $750 because “it has the potential of going bad?” That’s your definition of a SNAKE OIL SERVICE ADVISOR. For the record three months later the MMI is still working for the simple reason there is nothing wrong with it and it’s working like a charm. I challenge Jim Desimone (General Manager) and Brooke Canty (owner) to call me so I can elaborate. Audi of Newton continues to say how much they value their customers - well guess what? I’m the customer - show me, walk the walk. I will update this review in the future.

Poor service and no accountability!

My warning to any potential customers is this; This dealership is ready and willing to take your money, but not any accountability. I'm not the first to be duped by them, but hopefully I will be the last. I bought a used vehicle on 12/26/2020. The vehicle was on the dealer lot as a trade-in. At the time that I saw and test drove the vehicle it had not yet been cleaned, serviced, inspected, or otherwise - because of the very recent trade-in. First, they tried to charge me more than $3000 above than the advertised sale price. Fortunately, I picked up this 'error' before signing the purchase agreement and had them change back to the advertised price. Second, because of the price and the very low mileage of the vehicle I was assured I would have a full warranty for the first three months. That evaporated faster than the ink could dry on the purchase agreement. Third, the Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) system is defective and has been since the first drive home. It reportedly requires two sensor modules in in the rear bumper to be replaced, coincidentally costing $3000. As a result, the safety suite on this vehicle is not functioning as designed and intended. The dealership is vehemently denying any responsibility. I strongly suspect one of two scenarios; First, the vehicle was not inspected prior to my purchase because of the very quick trade-to-sale time. Second, and even more egregious, VWN knew about the fault and chose not to repair it because of the cost, and knowing that NJ only mandates them to cover the powertrain for 90 days. Either way, service at this dealership stinks, and they do not stand by what their salespeople tell you, nor the products that they will sell you. Let my mistake be a lesson for you.
