I would strongly caution anyone considering leasing or purchasing a vehicle from Volvo Cars Manhattan. We leased an Volvo EX90 in July, and it has been nothing but a frustrating experience ever since. The vehicle has already been in the shop three separate times for major issues, including being unable to charge or operate properly—completely unacceptable for a brand-new electric vehicle. The technology is unreliable at best. The system is consistently glitchy, and the Bluetooth connection rarely works, which defeats the purpose of a modern, tech-forward car. Today was the final straw: one of the windows stopped working entirely and is now stuck in the down position. Equally disappointing is the service experience. It is extremely difficult to get a service appointment in a timely manner, and loaner vehicles are almost never available—even when the car is inoperable. For a luxury brand, this level of customer support is simply not acceptable. Between the ongoing mechanical issues and the lack of responsive service, this has been an incredibly frustrating and inconvenient experience. I would strongly advise others to think twice before leasing or purchasing from this dealership.

LIARS & THIEVES WORK HERE The service department is a bunch of liars and thieves. They charged $350 to inspect the vehicle and said it would be refunded if I chose any of the services provided. I chose 1/3 services provided and they charged the $350 anyway and wouldn't give back the car when I refused to pay it. After over an hour arguing with them, I had to bite the bullet and pay this $350 ransom. On top of that, they estimated $5,000 for the other 2 repairs (new battery, fix the rear camera). I ended up getting it done for $650 at Pep Boys and another dealer across the GW Bridge). Get your work done there instead of getting ripped off by these thieves. Would give them 0 stars if I could.

Some filters and some simple checks. When I got there, they tried to extort me for $1,500 by saying my service wasnt covered and they need to perform all these services that are not part of the manual's recommendation. Then they said I would have to keep the car overnight if I wanted a Polestar technician (not volvo) to take a look. I waited 2 months to make an appointment because they originally told me that I had to wait for a technician to become available. Last, they told me they couldnt upgrade the software and would have to charge me if i wanted to do that. Please please please do not take your car here. Typical used car xx tactics to try and steal your money. Never going back here. I dealt with Dallanara.

Dallanara took care of me and was super responsive and kept me well-informed during the whole thing. Danny, the service technician, did an amazing job and got my tricky brake issues all sorted out and fixed.

Dallanara was amazing- from start to finish. Professional, personable and kept me informed throughout the process. It was get to meet CJ in person- I had an unresolved issue when he resolved for me and just to say thanks. I do think the team needs more staff- sometimes not accessible as quickly to get a response. The team is constantly problem solving and you can see the hard work to meet the timeframes.

When I brought my car in, they told me it was still under warranty. A week later, they called me and said the car was actually not under warranty, and that I would need to pay almost $4,000 to get it fixed. I told them I wasn’t willing to spend that much money on the repair, so they said they would charge me a $450 fee instead. Then I asked them to put the car back together so I could come pick it up. But when I got the car back, I noticed that the check engine light and other warning lights were on, even though there were no warning lights at all when I first brought the car in. I went back to talk to them about it, and they told me, “Since you didn’t have the repair done here, that’s just how it is.” It was a really bad experience. I hope others don’t go there to buy a car or get repairs done.

Jahbari Williamson did a great job taking care of me. My car needed an NYS inspection and a troubleshooting of a clicking sound when braking and vibration during acceleration. Danny, the service technician, is as good as they come. Recommended replacing the front right motor mount. Now it drives like brand new. They also did a courtesy wash, which is a nice touch. I highly recommend Volvo Cars of Manhattan if you need your Volvo serviced or repaired.
