Terrible experience. I took a 20 minute test drive in the parking lot, and now, two weeks later I still have an almost $300 charge on my credit card that has not been removed?!

Don’t shop at AVIS

Horrible experience. Bait and switch. One of the most unorganized companies I’ve ever dealt with. They cancel appointments and have no idea where their vehicles are. STAY AWAU

Great Prices! Outstanding Service!

My husband and I were shopping for a 2019 Tucson, and I thought I'd try Avis car sale dealership directly, since many of the cars we were considering were previous rental cars. Unfortunately, Avis didn't have the car we were looking for, but I did notice that their prices on other cars were extremely competitive. Ana Roa was assigned to us and she wasn't pushy when I explained that we were looking for Tucsons, and they didn't seem to have any. Ana explained that, for some reason, Hyundai actually takes the Tucson's back, so Avis does not sell them on their lots. Wow, a quick, straight answer from someone I've only met through emails. When I asked if Ana could recommend another place to find 2019 Tucsons, and she kindly suggested a competing dealership. Despite knowing she wouldn't be able to sell us anything, Ana continued to kindly and professionally answer questions. She also said that if we ever were interested in anything on her lot, not to hesitate to call. I don't know about you, but that's my kind of salesperson. I won't forget Ms. Noa - and when we're in the market for a car again, Ms. Noa will be one of the first people we contact. She's a real asset to Avis!

I got a great deal.

My experience with Avis was amazing. I got a great deal on a 2018 VW Beetle. They met all of my concerns and I love the car. Ask for Ana Roa. She was wonderful, I know I'm not the easiest customer to deal with. Ana anwsered all my questions and made sure I was comfortable with the deal. When we sat down to sigh she had everything ready to go and I was in and out. I would without a doubt recommend Ana and Avis to anyone looking for a great deal on a car

Didn't meet expectations

We were in the market for a used Yukon Denali and Avis seemed to hold the market on 1-2 year old Yukons. I did some research on buying from a rental company and decided to take the chance. Given the Yukon Denali was a part of their premium line it probably wasn't rented by someone looking to jump railroad tracks with it. We set up the test drive which was a very simple process and our representative was easy to contact and very responsive (though he was in Chicago and we live in FL). We were expecting to pick up the car, drive it, take it home and complete the purchase. That is until we arrived at the vehicle. The first thing we noticed was it was dirty. As in it looked like it had been driven in the rain on a dirt(y) road and never cleaned. I would have at least expected it to be run through a car wash at a minimum. I honestly expected it to be at least as clean as it would be for a rental, not dirty on the exterior with leftover trash on the inside. The next thing I noticed was that the vehicle didn't match the description online. I ended up going back through Avis's ads here and they are all the same with the exception of the price, mileage, stock number, VIN and colors (interior and exterior). I understood their use of stock photos, but it would be nice if the description was at last accurate. Needless to say we didn't buy the vehicle we looked at. In fact we were so disappointed, we didn't look at another Avis vehicle. When I spoke to the desk agent about it, he mentioned that this was the 3rd car that had come in like that since he transferred to that location. He mentioned the other location he worked at got better quality vehicles. Not sure if this experience was characteristic of the way Avis handles its deals, but I don't think I'll be back.
