Kevin Kisting is the BEST

I purchased a second vehicle from here in 2 yrs. They went above and beyond to work with me and my situation to find the perfect fit for my budget and my taste. I am more than happy with my choice and the service I received. Kevin kept me posted daily and patiently dealt with my indecisiveness.

BMW of Dubuque is Amazing

Dubuque Auto Plaza, specifically BMW of Dubuque treated me with the utmost respect as I went through my recent purchase of a vehicle. Jeff Wilson is amazing and I would recommend anyone looking for a BMW or Nissan or Hyundai or any pre-owned vehicle contact Jeff Wilson. Jeff values me as a customer and has proven to me that he appreciates me doing business with him. There are many choices in today world and I would choose Dubuque Auto Plaza every time. I will most likely never purchase a vehicle somewhere else. Thank you for the wonderful car buying experience.... I will be back and will send everyone I know your way !

EXCELLENT!

Experience was amazing. Communication, to me, is the most important thing when looking to purchase anything, Tyler would respond to texts and emails and phone calls, at all hours of the day and night. Hard working, smart, funny, nice guy. Took care of me, and I will take care of him by telling everyone to go see him!

They were disingenious with me...

I recently bought a certified pre-owned BMW X5 from Dubuque Auto Plaza and feel compelled to warn others about my experience. I live several hundred miles from Dubuque, IA and was therefore buying the car without a test drive and having it shipped to me. I’ve done that twice before with two different BMW dealers and had a first class experience. BMW is a brand I feel I can trust and buying a certified BMW from a BMW dealership comes with a peace of mind from my perspective. I don’t think I’m unique in my mindset. I know BMW has invested substantially over many years for buyers to feel as I do. I knew the car I was buying is equipped with very expensive tires so I made a point of asking the condition of the tires. I was told they were in great shape. The sales person also reported that the sales manager had selected the car I was looking at as his demo car. That made me feel even better about what great shape the car must be in given that I’m sure the sales manager has a choice of many nice cars to drive. When the car arrived I found the tires making a horrendous noise and you could feel that the tires are out of balance. I took the car to my local BMW dealer and they informed me that the tires are what they call scalloped from the car being driven for an extensive period of time while out of alignment. I called Dubuque Auto Plaza back and they told me the tires have sufficient tread depth and that the scalloped condition was not their concern. There’s no way the sales manager could have driven the car for any length of time and not noticed the tires were in bad shape. My experience the BMW in Dubuque left me feeling lied to. The disingenuous behavior I experience reinforced the societal notion that used car sales people are dishonest. I only wish my experience could be heard by a BMW brand manager so they know how their efforts at building the brand is being eroded by disreputable dealers like Dubuque Auto Plaza. Buyer beware; they may be lying to you.

These people are liars! Don't do business here!

Wonder why Car Salesman and Dealerships get a bad name? Stop by Dubuque Auto Plaza and you'll find out. THESE PEOPLE ARE LIARS, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND DOING BUSINESS HERE!!!!! I saw an old truck they had for sale on eBay and placed a few bids on it. Auction ended around $2,300 but the reserve was not met. I popped on their website and found the truck. Gave them a call and talked to some guy in sales. I asked him a few questions about the condition of the car. Rust, holes, engine, transmission, etc. I asked him to send me some additional pictures and he said he would... and never got back to me. After two or three days of not hearing anything, I got back on their website and clicked the "instant chat". Someone responded right away. I let him know I contacted someone several days earlier but no one was getting back to me. He apologized and said he would be happy to help me from here. Great! I asked him all the same questions I asked the first salesman and all his answers were the same. How is the body? "Good, There are two or three rust bubbles but no holes and they haven't yet broken the paint" How is the underside? "Good, it was undercoated some time ago but its peeling off in a few spots and there is a little surface rust starting in those places." I see part of the bumper is missing, can you tell if it's been 'hit'? "It does not look like it's been in any accidents." He said "It's a really nice truck for its age, it drives well, the body is good, etc, etc..." Okay, Can you send me a close-up picture of the rust bubbles? "I tried to get close-ups of the rust, but they don't show up, they are pretty small." I asked him to try again and send me some other pictures as well. A few hours later I received a few pictures but everything was taken pretty far away. I did some more research on the truck, checking "common problems and failings" average value, etc. Being the owner of several old and classic cars, I've built up a pretty good network of people to get information on vehicles. I called him back and we started talking price. The "Average Value" of this truck is $2,500, the "High Retail" is $4,400 they were asking $7,125 which means this thing is in good shape... right? So, satisfied at the $4,800 agreed price, I rented a trailer and drove 6 hours to pick it up. I show up and immediately, I see there is a major dent in the drivers side fender. The passenger side fender is misaligned because it's obviously been hit! The "Two or three rust bubbles turns out to be AT LEAST 100. "They haven't broken through the paint" Yeah, except the quarter sized one near the drivers mirror and the two the size of a nickel on the door. "No holes" yeah right, except the one in the bed that's big enough to stick my thumb through and the two under the hood that are even bigger. The undercoating that's "Peeling off in a few spots" is HALF GONE and the "Light surface rust" is deep in most spots to the point of wearing edges of the frame. The other things you think they'd mention? The black paint on the lower half of the truck was PAINTED WITH A BRUSH! The inner fender on the drivers side is falling out. This thing is a rust bucket that looks like they soaked it in salt water for a month. I didn't even drive this truck, I was so mad I couldn't see straight. The salesman said to me "I'm really sorry for the miscommunication." MISCOMMUNICATION!?!?!?! YOU LIED TO ME!!!!! If you are thinking about buying a car here DON'T, Internet buyers especially, these guys will tell you ANYTHING to get you to the lot hoping you're stupid enough not to notice or care! LEARN FROM MY 12 hour drive and $400 loss in expenses. Also, I looked at their eBay feed back profile of the 7 cars they sold in the last 6 months, 3 of them left negative feedback! That's one in three, folks! DON'T DO BUSINESS HERE!

Great time there test drove the right vehicle for me and...

Great time there test drove the right vehicle for me and my applications... Needed to trade in a vehicle and gave me the price i wanted with out argument.. and then on top of that hit my mark for a price within the first hour of talking prices.. Never keep asking me what it would take to take it home today.. Never pressured me with big words or any B/S excuses... Explaned everything and still keep in contact I just missed a call yesterday from them asking about the vehicle and and made shure that my first free oil change is on the right date... Ill be back there sometime when i need a newer truck.
