Booked a rent to Buy, at the Woodhaven Mi location. Waited 3 weeks only to be called the day before picking up my car, by my sales agent to tell me my car had been rented/sold to another customer. A week later I see my Car (same Vin Number) relisted on their site for 10% more than the price We had agree on. Hard to trust a company that won't honor your agreement.

Awful
Terrible car buying experience. Since the first week I had my car I dealt with nothing but issues. Was supposed to get a new plate , their machine was broke, then they just forgot to go to sos to get me one, had to track down my old one, my car had a serious shake to it and they told me it was normal, took my car in many times for them to basically treat me like I was crazy but turned out my tires needed to be balanced. My car then started making a clanking noise, I waited over a month for them to get the part they thought it was and when they finally "fixed" it, my car still made the same noise, they then proceeded to tell me cars sometimes make noises but nothing is wrong. I tried to get out of this car and into something new but they wouldn't even fork over $1900 just to pay my car off even though I've dealt with so much from them. Not to mention I live 45 minutes from the dealership so it's a far drive just to deal with everything. This was the worst car buying experience ever and I do not recommend anyone going here. Now I'm stuck with a car that still has something wrong with it.

Good Experience
It was very nice and easy process. No hassle pricing made it easy and they actually offered good financing that beat my bank's rate. Very impressive. Only wish is that they offer full tank of gas.

A pleasant buying experience - almost perfect
I had been searching for a car since late August and finally bought one on December 1. I have searched the inventory at Hertz Woodhaven in the past but never found a car intriguing enough to check into until now. I made contact with Hertz first through cars.com email after seeing a 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage at a unbelievably attractive price. I received a prompt email reply from Jordan, my sales rep, who told me that the car probably would be sold but that if the deal fell through she would contact me again - which she did the same day. I test drove that car but I found a couple of things I disliked about it. Hertz had three other 2015 Mirages on their lot so I tried another one. Didn't care for that one either so I tried a third. That one I liked. Jordan was extremely cooperative the entire time. I did not detect the slightest aggravation from her whatsoever. She was very professional and cordial. Outstanding in every way. So, once I decided to purchase, Jordan handed me off to Matt, the business manager, who handled the sale documents. Matt was Jordan's equal in his professionalism. Never hurried me through anything. He was also sympathetic when it came time for me to write the check. I hesitated briefly because I wasn't entirely sure I wanted to buy at that moment. Matt was very patient and could see that I was slightly reluctant but did not display any signs of irritation with me. That put my mind at ease and made me feel comfortable and confident enough to complete the sale. It also helps that Hertz has a no haggle price policy. No need for the extended negotiations which often take a lot of time - too much usually. Another big plus with Matt is that he kept all of his promises. The car was ready to pick up the next day and the title arrived to my home within a week. You can't ask for better service than that. More often than not, I've needed to contact a dealer after the sale to straighten out something. In addition to Jordan and Matt, there were a few other sales people who were very friendly while I waited for the sale to be completed. It might have been because I was the only car buyer there that time and day. Nevertheless, none of the staff ignored me when I had a question or when I felt like talking to kill the time. It didn't take very long - 90 minutes start to finish. Buying a used rental car at Hertz Woodhaven was the least stressful car buying experience I've had in 40 years. As to the facilities themselves, the Hertz corporation should consider upgrading the showroom appearance to match the five star level of customer service. The building is old and the interior decor spartan - but it was clean inside and out which is commendable. And, their lot is too small for the number of vehicles on hand. Although I found a parking spot in the back, there was only one spot. A dedicated area just for customers would be a big improvement - 4 or 5 spaces in front would be sufficient and would plainly show that the customer is #1! Now onto a couple of big negatives that is probably just Hertz corp. policy and beyond the control of the sales staff. Matt presented options for add-ons such as Lo Jack, extended warranty, etc. which was a real turn off. I told him before he started his spiel that I was not interested in any extras and I got the impression he had to offer them anyway. Standard procedure I suppose. I wish car dealers would stop doing this already. I know, good luck with that. Another thing I didn't like is that Hertz only had one car key when I took possession which apparently is common when buying their rentals. It might have been mentioned the day before or cited in the paperwork but I don't recall this happening. Hertz should try harder to keep both keys with the cars they're selling. Very strange that they don't. Where does the other key disappear to? Anyway, a long winded but honest appraisal of my Hertz Woodhaven experience.

I took my 2010 Ford Fusion SEL 6v to trade for 2014 Nissan Sentra , the KBB value was 10k for my car which was in excellent condition , they offered me 2k

Oops! Your plate's sitting in an office!
Buying process was good BUT there is no use in getting a car if you can't drive it. Called the Woodhaven location to find out my plate was sitting in an office the date the temporary registration expired. Sales person "didn't realize it was two weeks" since I recieved my car. Driving on an expired temp plate isn't fun and the sales person was well aware that my plate was sitting in a business office (called 5 minutes after they opened). Buying experience was great BUT they messed up when they slept on sending my plate to me in a timely fashion... Also (minor things), my filters looked like they never been replaced and I had no washer fluid.

Quick, easy, reasonable.
Nate was very agreeable and helpful during the entire process. He was able to get the car I wanted from the airport quickly, and everything went smoothly. I will recommend Hertz to any friends and family who are looking to buy a car in the future.
