Heard the ad on 92q and I went in not believing it could be possible to get a car with just $500 down. Well the $500 down was somewhat true but you still had to pay taxes and tags but I guess that's just advertising. Lol. But I must say that was the most down to earth place I have ever been. The are so funny. The duo in the back. They were hilarious. Not one dull moment and I left with a car. If you need a ride and have $1000 down go see Martina she will put you in a car. I walked in and drove off. Thank you Payless Motors.

RUDE, place is horrible!
This place is a joke they were very rude, worst customer service. Have attitude problems as well.

car repair
My car broke down and i had George do the repairs, i picked the car up and did not even make it 2 exits on 695 before the car sopped running, George came out and changed a fuse, i made it to I95 before the car broke down again, I had it towed and another mechanic looked at it and he said the part was replaced but the job was not done properly. $370.00 and my car was still not running.

Bought lemon
Bought a used car from Payless Motors that had major issues. It would overheat, leak oil and oil pressure warning signs came on. Brought car back in three times while still under 30 warranty. Either they had incompetent mechanics or lied about what was wrong until warranty was up. I was told by Jiffy Lube what was really wrong, major engine oil leak!! Timing belt was saturated in oil. i took the car to two other trusted mechanic for more opinions. They all said the same thing as Jiffy Lube :( I confronted Payless and they said they didn't feel comfortable doing the work to fix it (still within the 30 days) so I asked to return car. They ended up returning car but not for the full amount. I AM NOW DOWN $1,000!I DO NOT recommend this place. They do not fully inspect cars or will hide damages!

We apologize for this inconvenience, however, we did fix the problem on the vehicle and continued to work with the customer while they expressed their concerns. After 60 days of the vehicle being sold, we decided to buy back the vehicle. We did this in good faith because we are honest about the vehicles we sell. With that being said, we refunded the customer the money but could not refund tax, title & tag fees. In addition, we provided the customer a letter to take to the MVA to request a refund from them for the taxes paid on the vehicle. Although you were dissatisfied with your experience, we have done everything we are supposed to do by Maryland laws to inspect and sell our vehicles. If we were indeed trying to hide problems and not willing to fix whatever happened in 30 days for warranty, we would have never bought the vehicle back from the customer. After all, how many dealers do that for their customers? Thank you and have a wonderful day!
