Drove 90 minutes to see a car, dealer insisted that we talk numbers before we do a test drive. They came back to us with a $20k markup on top of what they listed as the *sale price* on their website. Dealers are entitled to charge whatever mark up they want, but to have a customer drive all the way over only to surprise them with a completely different price than what was advertised is shameful and unethical. I've worked with 4 Lexus dealers, this is the worst one and would encourage all prospective customers to look literally at any other dealer.

I purchased the car from this dealership, I never received the dmw sticker,I went dmw several times and finally I paid to dmw sticker price,and I asked some refund from dealership,they never even replied to me ,it was really bad customer service!

had an extremely frustrating experience with this dealership. I was going back and forth with a saleswoman for days about a specific car. We set up an appointment, she sent photos, and confirmed price & details. Based on that communication, I drove an hour and a half to see it in person. When I arrived, I was casually told the car had been sold the night before. No heads-up. No message. Nothing. I rearranged my schedule and spent three hours driving for absolutely no reason. How does a dealership not know or not bother to tell a customer that the vehicle they’ve been actively discussing is no longer available? This was incredibly unprofessional and unorganized, they are incompetent and inconsiderate!! I would strongly caution anyone thinking about buying here to double-check everything and be prepared for poor follow-through. Personally, I would not recommend buying from these people.

because sales was so bad, I purchased an Audi. I will no longer buy Lexus. oh, and after the Audi, I got a Porsche. I will no longer consider the Lexus brand because of South County Lexus. Service needs to take loaner cars more seriously.
My main contact was Luca Warburton. He is a bright, thoughtful, and hard warkingvdales professional. Zoe did my new car briefing and I couldn’t believe the depth of her knowledge. In addition, she has extraordinary communication skills. Eric, the sales Manager went out of his way to solve a small problem for me. I was fortunate to meet Sean, the managing partner. He went above and beyond to talk about the culture he is maintaining at the dealership. He is a real believer in the old motto that the customer is king. Although the dealership is a bit of a drive from our home, my wife and are committed to take care our service at South Coast Lexus. We made a lot of friends there in no time.

Worst experience ever. I bought a used lexus from them . As much as i tried to ask all the right questions, the sales person, Chris Ward lied to me about the condition of a major part of the front suspension , telling me the former owner had everything replaced. I drove the car back to Colorado only to experience issues during the drive home . I took it to my local lexus dealer the next monday only to find the repairs had not been made and I was looking at a $3500 repair bill. I tried to work things out with the dealer and they did the least amount possible. DO NOT buy a used car from these guys. Once you are out the door they wont give xxxx about you or your car.

I was in communication with Roy Tunno via email and Phone calls. I was asking for the control arms and the labor costs to be taken care of by South County Lexus . After some “Foot Dragging “ I sent an email to Roy suggesting I try my local repair shop to see if the labor cost would be less if he would send me the control arms . He apparently understood that to mean he could send me the control arms and be done with me . My local repair shop gave me a labor estimate and also found the front strut to be leaking . Replacement cost $ 1800 approximately. After my phone call about the local repair shop I have not had any response from Roy. Emailed your sales manager and general sales manager with no response. I have tried to be as reasonable about this as I can considering this is Sales Fraud under California statute. I have contacted attorneys and am prepared to start the process to file suit next week. Roy can solve this issue very easily by arranging for my local dealer, Stevenson Lexus , to install the control arms he sent me . Roy is going to have to call me because he won’t return my calls or emails . -Mike Knights

Then when I relented, it turned out I couldn’t opt out of a fine print provision that allowed them to sell my personal information. So I said no deal. They tried to salvage the deal and said they would go ahead my credit union anyway, so I gave them my contact information and they never followed up with my financial institution. They did follow up with warnings that until they physically got the check and it cleared, the car could be sold. In the meantime, I found another Lexus dealer who let me out $1000 down to hold the car I wanted and they got my check and balance and I got my car in a couple of days.

Do not take your car here for service for multiple reasons. 1) They don't know what they are doing. I told them of a few issues and they came up with the dumbest excuse as to why it might be happening that I will just start asking my 8 year old to diagnose the issue going forward. I confirmed what they said with an independent mechanic and they agreed that the Lexus mechanics overlooked some basic things. 2) Although common knowledge, Lexus charges a ridiculous amount for their services which would be fine if they were competent, but hey are not. 3) If you get a loaner car now, BE AWARE, they will charge you 3 times the amount of gas you use at a double the cost per gallon. I put 30 miles on the loaner and they charged me for three gallons at 8 bucks per gallon. So their cars only get 10 miles per gallon???? Total scam.
