Jeff is an excellent salesman.
Jeff is an excellent salesman. We bought an ID4 from him a few months ago, the second car we've bought from him. He was always open to our questions and concerns, and intuited the speed that we did (or didn't) want to take at each step; we've followed up with various questions, and he remains as helpful as ever. I'd recommend him highly.

Hello Ben, Thank you for your continued trust and for sharing your positive experience with Jeff! We're thrilled to hear that he's been an excellent salesman and provided exceptional service during both of your car purchases.
Thorough, professional experience
Jeff and the entire team went above and beyond in answering my questions about buying my car off the lease, a process that seemed intimidating but was smooth as could be. They were extremely flexible around my schedule and very attentive in following up after my purchase. I highly recommend Open Road VW.

Great service and a great deal!
Ling was sensational as a rep! This is our second purchase at Open Road VW Manhattan, and it was seamless. Ling responded to my request fast, and had me put down a deposit on the phone to ensure my car did not get away. I was lucky because it was a great deal, and we love our new used car! I looked at other places, but they really have great deals on used cars here and make sure that everything runs great.

10 star experience!!!
I normally do not leave reviews, but after my amazing experience with Jeff, I honestly have no choice! Jeff truly is the best. He is proactive and pressure free. He listened to what we wanted and the price we wanted and got me the perfect car for an unbeatable price! Jeff has been nothing short of extremely professional and responsive. He has diligently responded to all of my questions and concerns and has gone far above and beyond what anyone would ever expect. I picked up the car yesterday and am still in awe of how beautiful it is! He explained every single feature of the car extensively, leaving no stone unturned. I will be referring friends, family and strangers to him, and definitely plan to lease or purchase all future vehicles from him. I promise you, if you want a smooth, easy, quick and informative car experience, Jeff will exceed all expectations!

0 Star... Really Badly Run Business
The bottom line is the owner Michael Morais and GM Anthony Riccardi gravely lack integrity. I purchased a brand new vehicle in July 2019 and at the time of purchase, was promised two things by the then GM (Darius): 1. I could bring my car into the dealership once every two months for a free car cleaning, 2. The purchase of the car came with a 10K mile or 1-year service for free. I did not have a special relationship with Darius (former GM) and this is what was promised to motivate me to make the sale. So I took the plunge and thought, wow they are going the extra mile. I love that. Within 5 months post-purchase, Darius left for another dealer and along with him, went his promise despite Darius saying that his former team would take care of us. He failed to mark our files for these promises and when I presented all the communication exchanges with him to current management (Anthony) and the owner (Michael), they refused to honor it because I did not explicitly have the promises in writing. Admittedly, that's my fault and I will take a lesson from that, but the communication exchange clearly insinuates and supports what I'm saying was promised at the time of sale. Still, they chose not to honor them and offered instead a discount off of future services. It disturbs me to be promised things upon purchase and not have them honored. It leaves me feeling conned. It's just a disgusting way to operate a business. Good luck keeping clients coming back. I would avoid at all costs. Many other dealers operate with much higher integrity. Not worth the headache.

Efficient, professional, stress-free
This is what car buying should be. Thanks to Jeff Isaac and the rest of the team at Open Road for getting me in and out of the dealership quickly, courteously, and with no unnecessary hassles.

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!
I wish I could put negative stars! I called about a 2016 volkswagen tiguan rline 4motion, black with tan interior, with 30,000 miles, stock number P1682. DO NOT BUY THIS CAR! This car is listed as, Excellent condition, pictures show the car in amazing condition, clean carfax, no accidents or damage! I asked if the car was available, they said yes, and I told them I was coming up from NJ. So after a 2 1/2 hr train ride, so if i bought the car, I could drive it back to NJ, I get to the dealership. After waiting almost an hour, finally Justin the salesman shows me the car, he knew before I left NJ, and could have told me, there is a GIANT scratch all the way down the left side of the car, starting at the front fender, going all the way to the back of the car. Also from whatever had happened to it, the damage also included huge gouges in the rims on that side of the car, the back tire had a gash in the sidewall, and the front tire had a huge bubble on it, ( NOT SAFE TO DRIVE), especially in NYC with potholes abound. I look at it, and I am disgusted! Told him the entire car has to be painted, two new rims and tires. He said, what you don't want to take it for a test drive? Are you serious! The car is supposedly from their listing in Excellent condition! TOTAL SCAM! They also told me, before I saw the car, if I wanted to, I could pay $1300, to CPO the car, and that was before the cost of repairs to the damage on the car. Which would easily be $5000 or more, having to paint the whole car. I was furious and walked out. They should be embarrased that they are trying to sell this car for $17,000. DO NOT BUY ANY CAR AT THIS DEALERSHIP PERIOD!!!!!! They dont car about you and only want your hard earned money!!!!!!!!!!!!

Horrible
I had a horrible experience at VW open road of Manhattan. First, I called ahead on both Friday and then Saturday because I was interested in a 2016 Beetle. They said it was not a problem and they would have the car ready. Fast forward, I arrive at the dealer and they have another beetle, a different year and different trim model available for test drive. I take the car on a drive and the salesman who went with me couldn’t even tell me what kind of engine the car had. He knew nothing about any of the car’s specs. We get back to the dealer and I’m interested in purchasing the Beetle so I ask to test drive the actual car I want to buy. The car is up on the 2nd floor. It is blocked in by many cars. First I was told that they wouldn’t be able to get the car out but I told them I wanted to buy the car today. After 2 hours, they finally move out all the other cars and go to start the Beetle. It was dead. They had to drive another car back and jump start it. The same salesman that took me on the first test drive brings it downstairs and proceeds to turn it off. Obviously this guy knew nothing about cars in general let alone a specific model of car. The car had to be jumped again. Then I finally take the car on a test drive. I loved the look of the car and the overall handling. However the brakes felt spongy and not so responsive. I get back to the dealer and begin negotiating. I tell them I want the battery checked and the brakes. I argued for quite some time. They guaranteed that the brakes and battery were fine. Fast forward, they check the battery and big surprise, it needs to be replaced. As for the brakes, they refused to put the car on a lift for inspection and again kept saying they were fine (even though when they checked the battery) that wasn’t fine. Anyway, because we had been at the dealer for 5 hours the service dept had closed so the battery couldn’t be changed nor could the brakes be checked. After all this I still wanted the car. I haggled on a price. Firstly, the car I wanted has damage on the car fax that they had no idea what it was. Then they agreed to go down on the price but only until upper limit of fair price per Carfax. Again this car has damage which definitely would affect trade in value down the line and also means they got the car for a cheaper price. Then they have a $790 dealer fee and then a $200 VIN etching fee. Both of which are BS. We bargained the VIN etching off. Not the dealer fee. So at the end of the day. We were within the car fax fair price but the car had some undisclosed damage and the brakes didn’t feel right. I still left a deposit on the car. I just really wanted that car. Fast forward to Monday. I get a call from the same salesman. At this point, I very much don’t trust the dealership. I state I want to know if the brakes had been checked and how many mm were left on the brake pads. He said he’ll call me back. I never heard back from him. At this point, I started looking into other cars at other dealerships. I call back the following Saturday because I never got a call back and because I still really wanted that car. It turns out that the salesman I had been dealing with had been fired. The new salesman says he’ll look into the brakes and see what was done. He calls me back 2 hours later. He tells me the info about the brakes. I say I’ll come pick up the car today. Well again, a week later, they still have not changed the battery and they say you can’t come today because it’s too late because service is closed and nobody can do my financials. I make a tentative appt for Monday instead to pick up the car. I get a text mid day Monday asking if I definitely still want the car because they haven’t changed the battery yet. This means that if I wasn’t taking the car, they wouldn’t change the battery and the next poor shmuck would be left with a dead battery, which is not covered under the CPO warranty. At this point, I was done. VW Manhattan cannot be trusted
