TERRIBLE experience.

TERRIBLE experience. I've purchased many cars over the years and this was by far the WORST buying experience I've ever had. Came in looking to purchase a used Kia car on the lot. Figured it would be pretty straightforward since I had no trade-in and I came in pre-approved for a 72mo loan at 4.99% at my credit union so I wasn't looking to finance here. After the test drive, they show me a pre-tax/fees price that's $2700 higher than the price listed on the website ($17k). They added $2k in "vehicle prep" fees + $700 in "theft protection". lol. When I push back, they tell me they could give me a "better" price if I would finance with them. Told them I didn't think they could match my rate - and I wasn't asking them to. But sure, run the numbers and show me the rate. They come back with a financing sheet without the interest rate shown. I ask what the rate is and they wouldn't tell me for the longest time. (I can figure it out but I want them to tell me). When I finally pry it out of them they tell me it's 9%! And when I ask them why I should pay a higher rate when I'm already pre-approved for 4.99% they tell me that it's really not a lot of interest I would be paying since my loan would be relatively small. [I guess it's only a small amount of money since I'd be paying it... Lol.] So what's the better price if I finance thru them? Oh, it's only $2k higher than the price listed on the website! (BTW, this is all pre-tax, fees, etc. so it's not like it's a misunderstanding.) Extremely deceptive and unethical sales practices! Would NEVER buy a car there. All I can say is that if the manager/finance guy is brought into discussion, grab your wallet, head for the hills and don't look back! Steer clear... pun intended. And ownership, instead of trying - again - to get my post taken down, maybe try focusing on what's going on in your organization and address it. At best, you have a few rogue individuals operating outside your training guidelines. Or what would be more concerning, is that you've got a culture that rewards sales regardless of the means used to obtain them. If you choose not to address it, you are encouraging - either implicitly or explicitly - such behavior.

Generally positive and seamless experience with the

Generally positive and seamless experience with the Hamilton Honda team. They matched a previous offer and were courteous throughout the process. Only hiccup was discrepancy in interest rate communicated by salesperson and Finance which was quickly resolved.

AVOID at all costs!

AVOID at all costs!! Purchased a 2022 Certified Pre-owned CR-V last July. After I just traded it in at Burns Hyundai, I realized what a caring, customer service oriented dealership SHOULD BE like!!! I even contacted Lithuanian (who owns them) about the horrible way I was treated. They could care less, so no wonder the dealership doesn’t either!! The final straw was when I went into Burns Hyundai the same day Hamilton Honda did a multipoint inspection and oil change on my CR-V. I was warned that my car was unsafe to drive!!! There was a missing lug nut and other lug nuts were cracked and jammed on incorrectly!! The tire could have fallen off!! SO be warned!!!

Great experience.

Great experience. The Sales and Finance Dept were great. Joshua Braskett listened to what we wanted. Found the car, worked to get the car prepped and ready for us. He made sure we were comfortable and updated throughout the whole process.

I had an extremely frustrating and misleading experience

I had an extremely frustrating and misleading experience with Hamilton Honda. On the sales floor, I was promised one interest rate, only to be hit with a higher rate in finance. When I was tired and hungry, the salesperson pressured me to stay, claiming I had already signed. After purchase, I was misled about canceling optional add-ons and falsely told I had to wait 30 days, which is not true—you can cancel anytime. Olivia refused to provide proof of the buy rate, later claiming it was “illegal” to share, which is false. Said I needed to call the lender, did that, and lender sends me back to dealer. Somebody is lying. I tried calling the finance manager multiple times per day for a week; he only returned two calls, with constant missed connections. The entire process felt evasive, dishonest, and a low priority for them. I will never finance through a dealership again—next time, I’m going through a bank or credit union. The advertising and added fees at the dealership are a blatant scam. They haven't even provided me with the documentation of the warranty that was advertised with the car as Honda certified. Lesson learned.

Again I had a very frustrating experience with Hamilton Honda. I was quoted one interest rate on the sales floor by Gerald (6.99% or less) and a higher rate in finance (7.54%). Olivia in finance said there was no markup and ai have this in an email, but the dealer has refused to show the buy rate. When I asked the finance director, he said providing it would reveal the retailer markup comparing getting a loan to buying a shirt at a store, not the same! Clearly implying there was a markup so Olivia was not telling me the truth. I was pressured to complete the sale while tired and sore from a car accident. When I tried to cancel optional add-ons (GAP, Multi-Coverage Protection, etc), I was told I had to wait until the loan processed or 30 days, which is false; buyers can cancel anytime. I'm waiting for documentation on cancellations. Multiple attempts to reach the finance manager Hugh were mostly ignored; only two calls returned in a week. Finally Luke responded but again he compared getting a loan to buying a shirt and had no words for the dealerships false or misleading statements. Again I "signed" so that's that, they don't care. The dealership’s behavior. rushing buyers, misleading about rates, pressuring to sign, and evading add-on cancellations shows a clear focus on extracting fees over real customer care. I do not recommend financing through this dealership and strongly suggest going through a bank or credit union instead. I've spoken to so many people not sure who else to go to besides corporate or the state of NJ.

Just horrible….i bought the car ..no new brakes no good deteal.just no good.and thy are xxxx off .free car wash ..nevar works.free oil change ,but you have to wait 2month…with u can damage the car .thy are a joke.

Not sure if the Service Dept exist?

Not sure if the Service Dept exist?? Multiple calls to set up an appt...never get a call back, operators are always too busy? Left message on their FB page with my return number...never got a call back. Left an email...never got a call back. My 2026 Honda HRV CarPlay isnt operating correctly, freezes up and shuts off. They were quick to ask me for a positive feedback after I bought the car...now its like they don't exist. Bad experience

Since I have previously written several reviews of this service department describing VERY NEGATIVE experiences, I think it is only right that I write a very complimentary review after today's visit. Service rep Jose was friendly, and did everything he could to make up for my previous bad experiences (which I had described to him). Work I asked for (and more) was done gratis, there was no upselling like the other reps constantly tried to force on me, and my special request to have my tires inflated to the correct pressure was actually carried out perfectly! First time ever at this dealership. The building has had a facelift, so maybe they have decide to turn over a new leaf and treat their customers the right way.

Honda Service is the worst company in Hamilton.

Honda Service is the worst company in Hamilton. I have been dealing with them for many years, but I recently purchased a car three weeks ago, and it has needed servicing three times since then. They do not care about their clients; they just take your money and give you the runaround when it comes to getting your car fixed. I do not recommend them to anyone.

The professionalism, friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, prompt response, shown by all staff I encountered. The methods of contact - video, written, and phone contact of analysis of work needed to be done as well as updates on work being done and completed. The completion of work in time estimated to be done. The cleanliness of building and work areais exceptional! Always a pleasure! Thank you all!
