Hello Michelle, We’re sorry to hear you were frustrated with your recent experience and we are sorry we did not fully disclose the importance of our shop diagnosing the vehicle. We understand that having a prior diagnosis from another shop can make an additional diagnostic charge feel unnecessary. However, for the safety and accuracy of any repairs performed at our dealership, our technicians are required to complete their own inspection and diagnosis before recommending or completing service. This helps ensure the issue is correctly identified, as diagnoses can sometimes vary between facilities. The diagnostic fee also covers the technician’s time, expertise, and the work involved in properly evaluating the vehicle, even if no further repairs are completed. We always aim to be transparent about our process and charges, and we appreciate your feedback as it helps us improve communication with our customers. We understand our Service Manager has reached out and left a voicemail this morning.
I’m leaving this review because I don’t understand how a massive company like Toyota can sell me a damaged vehicle as a Brand-New vehicle (2022 Toyota Tacoma) and get away with it!!. I understand that Toyota didn’t realize that the factory installed roof rack was improperly installed at the factory which caused water to run down the inside of the interior which caused mold to grow throughout the inside of my interior and airbags leaving an overwhelming smell of mildew but that is exactly what happen. The water also ran throughout the inside of the dashboard which caused massive electrical damage, I’m sure this truck will have electrical issues for as long as it runs. This truck spent over 6 weeks is the shop and has been to the dealership multiple times, but Toyota will still not give me my money back. Be smart and don’t buy a Toyota as they obviously don’t care at all about customer values. It’s a shame that a billion-dollar company like Toyota treats their loyal customers (not anymore) this way. Toyota should be very ashamed of how they treat customers!!! Terrible!

Hi Jason, we are sorry to hear of your issues. As this problem seems to be with a factory issue, it seems a bit unfair to leave a review for our dealership. We unfortunately do not manufacture vehicles, so this seems to be an issue you should be leaving with Toyota Corporate.
My daughter and son in law bought truck from there. had issue right off the getgo. Took a month He told the brakes weren't right. Fixed nothing Recently tried to contact General Manager. More thana few times. Left messages no return or response. Ervice guy was rude as well very un settling experience. All we wanted was to return truck and get another vehicle off the lot. They got 2 hard working . Now there stuck with a truck . Unprofessional

The team was great, Carmello really took care of my needs and moved the transaction through quickly. We were able to hone in on a good deal and close for the right car at a good rate.

I can not say enough about Steet Toyota and are Salesmen John Flint. I must have called and emailed John 20 times. My son was looking for a specific 4Runner in the exact interior/ exterior colors he wanted. John found the exact vehicle had it brought to Steet for us, never once sounded short or frustrated with the ongoing conversations. He worked with are credit union who said Steet was a pleasure to work with. We had been to a few other dealers closer to us and John told me he match and or beat them on the cost! Trust me that was not a tactic to get us to drive over an hour. He was true to his word. Highly recommend Steet and John Flint! Thank you! Dylan’s and Jacquie Walker

I visited Steet Toyota in Johnstown to have my Camry repaired January 2018. I know other customers have scheduled appointments. My need unfortunately was having my car towed because of the symptoms. The two guys who write the service orders were not friendly. One wouldn?t look at me. It?s been 2 and 1/2 hrs and no diagnosis. I was here last year needing ignition coils. They tried to say I needed new ignition wires & plugs. They were 1 year old. The Toyota dealer in Syracuse is friendly & honest. BIG difference.

We had a great buying experience at Steet Toyota of Johnstown. Our salesman, Terry Sutphen, was very easy to work with and was very patient in letting test drive many vehicles. Never felt high pressured into purchasing a vehicle. Steet Toyota is a convenient dealership as it is also close by.
