Purchased a vehicle from Jack Schmitt that was a demo,a2025 with 1000 miles on it. It was listed on the website as "new" advertised as "new",hadn't been sold to anyone yet,qualified for the rebates only available on "new" vehicles and was referred to as "new" through the entire negotiation process. Financing was at a "new vehicle rate". The paperwork was signed and I was happy. I planned to take advantage of the interest deduction on new vehicles in the big beautiful bill. Only to discover after reading through the multiple pages of paperwork that it was listed as "used". Also found out afterwards that the title had been transferred to the service department, and I was technically the 2nd owner. They tout customer satisfaction, we're here to help ,reach out if you ever need anything,and so on. Word to the wise,they will not!!! This Dealership is Shady and deceptive to say the least, beware!

Do not buy a car from here. I’ve had my car for 58 days (almost two months) and have had so many problems with it. I’m now in a $13,000 car loan for a car that does not work. I have to replace the catalytic converter and just been informed that I have a parasitic drain. The dealership reply is you only had the 30 day warranty (my mistake for not buying an extended warranty, since you know I’m pay for a loan and thought that nothing would break). They do not call back and you have to be on them 24/7. I’m now another $3500 in the hole, ontop of the $13,000 car payment that I have to pay off.

Thank you to Tyson Edmonds of the Jack Schmitt Ford Service Department for taking care of me!!! He was able to help me out on my used 2013 Ford Focus having clutch issues and get me back on the road... my original dealership told me nothing was wrong with my vehicle. I took it over here and I wish I went here way sooner. After only having my car for a day, I could tell they were doing more work than my original dealership ever did. They found my "shuttering" issue and was able to get it fixed after a battle with Ford in approving the repair. They also found issues that my original dealership missed/caused. They took care of me- instead of a 5000 dollar job, it only resulted in 440 dollars. Tyson was excellent and I felt like he knew what he was doing the whole time. He kept me in the loop and explained everything perfectly. I never once got an impression he was trying to screw me or run a fast one on me- it was the exact opposite. I knew I could trust him and he was trying to help me. Tyson you are the best sir!!!! I will be coming back anytime my car faces issues. I can trust Tyson and Jack Schmitt. Thank you guys for turning a very stressful situation into a sigh of a relief and getting me back on the road. My vehicle drives brand new and I know you guys did your work and did a great job!!

Rod, this is Andy Carr- we spoke on the phone. While we understand that having this type of thing happen to your vehicle is never a happy occasion, we think it is important to provide a little more context for anyone reading this because we don't think that the condition with your vehicle or our handling of your service visit and situation warrant a poor review. You stated upon drop off a "clanking sound and a stutter when trying to pass at higher speeds". Already indicative of a significant and progressing internal engine or transmission problem on a vehicle with over 170,000 miles on the current (and 2nd) engine. None of this is to insult you or your possessions, it's to provide context for any potential customers reading this. In order to properly diagnose and move towards repair, we must perform a road test. During this road test and diagnosis, the condition did indeed progress and the engine blew. This was not due to any type of abuse, hot-rodding, or anything else that you alleged during our conversation last week. We are careful with every vehicle and we have been in business here in Collinsville for over 40 years. If our technicians, advisors or anyone here mishandled your vehicle or caused damage (as does sometimes happen) we would gladly accept responsibility and address it. By your own admission and above statement to our staff when you arrived that day, the engine was likely on the verge of failure, and the service visit merely coincided with the breakdown. This is always more likely if the engine is already showing signs of wear or if it's an older vehicle/ engine as was clearly the case with your Edge. This is a proverbial game of hot potato and it seems to be your wish that because the potato happened to be in our lap when the music stopped, we should compensate you for everything that went on for 170,000 miles before you brought the vehicle to us. That does not hold water and I think most people reading this would agree. We understand and respect your decision not to return here for service, but our team did nothing wrong here.
We love this dealership! Nick Karateew has helped us with several vehicles over the years, and it’s always a pleasant experience. He is knowledgeable and takes his time explaining everything. Alex handled our paperwork and made it so easy. It was enjoyable getting to speak with him. I will always recommend this dealership to everyone!

I would highly encourage folks in the Metro area to visit Schmidt Ford in Collinsville. They are a wonderful staff to deal with and there is no pressure from the sales staff. I would ask to speak with Nick Karateew or K. Todd, great folks to work with. I purchased a 2023 Ford Maverick XLT and they made the transaction extremely easy. Glen Sprankle

just want to say that I am incredibly happy with the service I received, the follow-up by the car dealers and the overall help in finding the right car for me. Jordan Mayes in particular did a very good job of being flexible and competent regarding scheduling a meeting or questions I had about the car, which made the process with the Ford Mustang smooth. All in all, it was the right thing for me to buy a car from Jack Schmitt Ford of Collinsville and I will recommend to seek help from Jordan Mayes or others who works there!

Miscommunication, told open, scheduled time to see f150, drive 40 miles to find dealer closed. Wasted trip. Got notification 3 hrs after getting back home that they were closed, a little late for that text. Wasted my day
