I want to share my honest experience so others know what

I want to share my honest experience so others know what to expect. I recently purchased a vehicle here and spent over three hours in the dealership while trying to get clarity on the financing. Throughout the process I was repeatedly told that my “credit was the only problem,” even though I put $16,000 down and the amount financed was relatively low. That message was used to shut down any real conversation about meeting my budget or finding solutions. Multiple times I tried to walk away because the numbers didn’t match what I could afford. Only after my third attempt did anyone offer meaningful movement, and even then I was asked, “Can you do $240?” I said I needed $220. The response was “meet me halfway?” and when I said “$221,” the salesperson simply typed a new number into the payment field on the screen, told me “you have a tight budget,” and walked away. Later, after reviewing my contract, it was clear that the screen change was only a display adjustment and not a real explanation of how they reached the payment. The only actual adjustment made to get the payment to $221 was a small price reduction of about $300 on the vehicle itself. None of the other fees were discussed or negotiated. There was no transparency about what they could or could not adjust, and I left feeling like the dealership did the bare minimum only when they thought they were going to lose the sale. The car is fine and the payment ended up where I needed it, but the process felt pressured, dismissive, and not customer-centered. I’m posting this because I believe people deserve transparent, respectful communication when making a major purchase, especially when they are upfront about their budget. I hope future customers receive a more honest and supportive experience than I did.

This was one of the worst places to buy a car.

This was one of the worst places to buy a car. I found the car i wanted online, made my connection with salesman Chris Stewart. Gave him my information, ran credit applications, agreed on numbers. I even told Chris I will buy it over the phone. Was going to go down the next day to sign papers and pick up car and was told nope someone is in their buying the car now. I told Chris this was poor.customer service and he said he would find me a similar deal and make it right. Chris never got back to me, until I reached out but he had no information and no other vehicle for me. I hope this goes as a warning to people about going to this dealership and not buying a car from them. I will make sure people are aware of this dealership and the games they play.

This is the best service department I have ever used.

This is the best service department I have ever used. I had my Nissan Rogue at a dealership down the road for 3 weeks and they decided they couldn’t fix it. So it was towed to Chuck Hutton and it was fixed in 2 days!!!!

I brought a rogue in October went back to trade in April

I brought a rogue in October went back to trade in April with only 4,000 miles on it and they took 12,000 off what I give for it. I will never buy there again!! That just shows me how much they think of their vehicle.

Consumer response

I brought my car in to have the routine service done,

I brought my car in to have the routine service done, transmission fluid changed, oil change, tire rotation and everything else checked. Jonathan informed me the transmission fluid was supposed to be changed at 50,000 miles, I informed him I had always brought it to Carlock and they never said anything, Jonathan looks back and then apologized that it had not been done and stated he would make it right. When I got home I realized they had not rotated the tires. Called had to bring back, they rotated tires, I left then realized they did not fill the fluids up, so took back for third time. After living and driving the around 3 miles home, I parked it and the next day I got up to go to work and the car would not start. Called dealership and I was told I had to pay to get it towed in. After two weeks I still had not been told what was wrong then I get phone call saying I had 64 codes and was not sure why it was doing that and they would have to trace each wire to find out why. So I have always dealt with Jonathan but he was on vacation, so this time I had Spencer. Spencer calls me around 3 to 4 weeks after having vehicle towed in and he tells me a mouse must have chewed my wires and it would take around $8000 to replace but insurance should pay for it. He stated he hadn’t ever seen this on a new car before, I asked if I could have the wiring harness but was told he had to give it to the insurance representative then asked for pictures and never got them. Car was in shop for two months and then before going to pick up car Spencer calls and says my battery was dead and that was another $500 dollars. When I went to pick up car , I asked about battery and Spencer told me it was fried, I told it was fine when I had it towed in, then he tells me because it sat fine. Just want to warn people to be careful with Carlock and avoid Spencer if you still choose to do business there. Jonathan is MUCH better.
