Purchased a vehicle from Toyota of Hackensack and had a great in-person experience—but everything after that has been frustrating. I never received my sales or warranty documents despite multiple requests, and the warranty was described as “bumper-to-bumper,” which turned out to be inaccurate and cost me $700 out-of-pocket. Communication from Kellen T., Denis, Rosie, and Jay R. has been inconsistent, with little follow-up. To make matters worse, my temporary tags expired and I still don’t have my registration, leaving me unable to legally drive the car. Disappointing experience overall.

I do not recommend getting a car from this person. I assumed having an agent from the same nationality would mean better service, but I was wrong. He has been avoiding my calls and making it hard for me to get answers. They sold me a third-party extended warranty that I was led to believe was from Toyota, and now they are making it extremely difficult for me to get a refund. Very unprofessional.

Thank you for your review. The cancellation was issued upon request. Cancelations on the warranty are not instantaneous. Processing of cancellations can take up 60 days depending on processing with the warranty company. Sorry if this was not explained to you during the process. The salesperson you tagged in your review does not work in finance department and did not sell you the warranty. He has nothing to do with the situation at hand and should not be mentioned in your review.
We had a wonderful experience with Kellen Tavarez! He was very helpful and knowledgeable and deserves 5 stars! We recommend Kellen Tavarez. The last 5 star review I did on dealerrater disappeared so hopefully this one stays up!
