See Every Photo We Took of the 2026 Honda CR-V’s Interior
What Car Shoppers Need to Know:
- The 2026 Honda CR-V is one of the most appealing small SUVs in its class.
- Its spacious and well-crafted interior is one of the CR-V’s strongest points.
- Higher trim levels include heated leather seats, a Bose sound system, a moonroof and more.
The 2026 Honda CR-V is one of the best small SUVs you can buy today. It was the close runner-up in our recent 2026 Compact SUV Challenge, falling just short of the winning (and freshly redesigned) Volkswagen Tiguan. It boasts an outstanding balance between ride and handling, a choice of two efficient powertrains — the hybrid returning an EPA-estimated 40 mpg combined — and a spacious and well-designed cabin. That last bit is easy to see for yourself; check out the interior of the 2026 Honda CR-V TrailSport Hybrid in the photo gallery below.

Size
The CR-V’s comfortable seats are a definite high point in an all-around great interior. It offers more front-seat headroom and more legroom in both rows than many competitors, as well as one of the most spacious cargo areas in the class. While the Honda’s backseat headroom isn’t quite as towering as some key rivals’ on paper, there’s more than enough in all of the class leaders for even tall adults to be perfectly comfortable.
Quality and Features
The CR-V does not have an exuberantly designed cabin, but its simple forms and subdued styling make the major controls easy to find. The materials feel high-quality, and doing things simply keeps them from being offensive. Other small SUVs may have more interesting interior designs, but there’s nothing objectionable about the CR-V’s. In the TrailSport trim we tested, orange ambient lighting and contrast stitching spice up the cabin, as do orange TrailSport logos on the head restraints and floormats.
While pricier CR-V trims come equipped with niceties like leather upholstery, heated front seats and a 12-speaker Bose sound system, the Honda still lags behind some competitors in terms of available features. Other entries in this class offer luxuries like ventilated front seats — even massaging front seats in the Tiguan — heated rears, 360-degree camera systems and panoramic moonroofs, none of which are available for the CR-V. And the Honda’s touchscreen measures just 9 inches; most competitors offer larger 12.3-inch displays.
Still, if you’re more interested in what’s there than what’s not, the 2026 Honda CR-V feels excellent. That’s why it did so well in our Compact SUV Challenge, and why it is one of the bestselling vehicles not only in its class, but on the market as a whole.
