Affected Ford models and their model years are listed below:
The only Lincoln affected the model-year 2022-26 Navigator.
The integrated trailer module may lose communication with the vehicle when towing a trailer, which can cause the vehicles’ brake and turn-signal lights to fail or a loss of brake function. Both scenarios increase the risk of a crash.
To resolve the issue, the integrated trailer module software can be updated by a dealer or via an over-the-air update for free. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed March 17; in the meantime, owners with further questions may contact Ford at 866-436-7332 (the automaker’s number for this recall is 26C10), the National Traffic Safety Administration vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236, or visit the NHTSA website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
Editor’s note: This story was updated Feb. 27, 2026, to include the full list of Super Duty variants.
