What Car Shoppers Need to Know

  • Stellantis remains committed to electric vehicles despite an overall sales drop in the larger EV market.
  • The all-electric Jeep Wagoneer S is skipping the 2026 model year and will return in 2027, while the Recon EV is set to go on sale later in ‘26.
  • Dodge still offers the electric Charger Daytona, and both Ram and Jeep are set to get extended-range electric versions of the Grand Wagoneer and Ram 1500.

Automakers have been rethinking their EV product plans. Some are being canceled, while others were announced but never saw the light of day. Stellantis is one of them, creating confusion over what’s sticking around and what’s not. The parent automaker of Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Jeep and Ram stateside has two EVs currently on sale under two brands, with another one set to go on sale soon and two planned rangeextended EVs coming later in the year, so let’s give you a rundown on what to expect from Jeep, Dodge and Ram EVs.

Jeep EVs

Jeep seems to have the biggest plans for EVs out of all of Stellantis’ brands. Jeep’s sole EV, the Wagoneer S, went on sale for 2024 but will skip the 2026 model year and return in 2027.

According to a Jeep spokesperson, “The Jeep brand is pacing production of the all-electric Jeep Wagoneer S to support future improvements in battery performance, software and capability. As such, the Jeep brand will forgo a 2026 model-year designation in North America as we prepare to debut the 2027 model-year Jeep Wagoneer S, which will introduce full compatibility with the [NACS] charging port to expand customer access to growing fast-charging networks.”

Jeep also plans to launch its second EV, the Recon, later in 2026, as well as a range-extended electric version of the Grand Wagoneer. We reached out to Jeep to see if the Wagoneer S’ production pause will affect the launch of these two new models and were told that both are still on track to go on sale later in the year.

Jeep sold just 175 examples of the Wagoneer S in the first quarter of 2026, which is likely one of the main motivators for the production pause.

Dodge EVs

Dodge is updating its only EV, the Charger Daytona. The 2027 Charger Daytona has been available to order since December and has been updated with a native NACS port so that it can be used at Tesla Superchargers. Dodge sold just 240 of its Charger Daytona EV in the first quarter.

Fiat EV

Fiat’s sole offering in the U.S. is the all-electric 500e with a maximum 149 miles of range, which makes it one of the lowest-range offerings for 2026. The Fiat 500e sold even fewer cars than Dodge and Jeep, with just 68 sold in the first quarter and 448 sold in all of 2025. Despite these low sales, Fiat is sticking with the 500e. The 2026 500e is set to go on sale in the summer. Fiat has updated it with new colors inside and out, and the availability of a NACS adapter that owners can purchase at select dealers. Pricing (excluding destination fee, which has yet to be announced) for the base 500e Pop starts at $35,700 and $37,700 for the 500e Icona.

Ram EVs

Ram’s alternative-fuel future seems to be up in the air and has been a confusing mess. Ram initially showed an electric version of the Ram 1500 in 2023 set to do battle with the likes of the Chevrolet Silverado EV and Ford F-150 Lighting. The Ram 1500 REV was slated to go on sale sometime in 2025, but by September 2025, Ram announced the it was officially canceled.

In its place came a plug-in hybrid version dubbed the Ramcharger. Pairing Stellantis’ 3.6-liter V-6, a 130-kilowatt electric generator and a 69.7-kilowatt-hour battery, Ram said it would achieve up to 145 miles of all-electric driving range; combined output and driving range was 647 horsepower and 690 miles of driving range.

However, coinciding with the announcement of the cancellation of the Ram EV, the brand announced the Ramcharger name was being dropped in favor of REV and that it would enter production sometime in 2026 — and “sometime in 2026” is all we have right now. When contacted for a statement, Ram didn’t respond whether the REV was still coming to market in 2026.
