Ford is recalling more than 422,600 Ford and Lincoln vehicles over an issue with the windshield wipers that may cause them to fail. (Lincoln is Ford’s luxury arm.)

Affected Ford vehicles include model-year 2021-23 Expedition SUVs and model-year 2022-23 Super Duty F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550 and F-600 trucks. Affected Lincolns include model-year 2021-23 Navigator SUVs. The windshield wiper arms in these vehicles may break and cause the wipers to fail, reducing driver visibility and increasing the risk of a crash.
To resolve the issue, dealers will inspect and replace the wiper arms for free. Interim letters notifying owners of the issue are expected to be mailed April 13; a second letter will be sent once a remedy is available. Those with further questions can contact the automaker at 866-436-7332 (Ford’s number for this recall is 26S24), the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236, or visit its website to check your vehicle identification number and learn more.
