2026 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Lives On With Customizable Jailbreak Edition

There seems to be a new day dawning at Stellantis (parent company of the Alfa Romeo, Dodge, Fiat, Jeep, Chrysler and Ram brands), and it looks a lot like the old days we thought were being sunset out of existence. The Hemi is back, the Charger’s getting a gas engine again, and the venerable Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat is not only being continued, it’s being given the Jailbreak treatment the brand used on the last-generation Charger and Challenger before they were discontinued a few model years ago.

What’s a Jailbreak edition? It’s basically Dodge opening up the order combinations and saying, “Go nuts, make whatever you want.” Paint, seats, interior upholstery, wheels, even the seat-belt colors — you get to choose your own adventure, and the result is an estimated 6 million possible build combinations for the 2026 Durango SRT Hellcat. That basically ensures no two versions of the three-row SUV will be the same.
But wait, what if you bought one of the Last Call editions of the Durango SRT, like the 392 AlcHEMI, Hellcat Brass Monkey, Hellcat Silver Bullet, Hellcat Hammerhead or even one of the R/T 20th Anniversary editions, thinking that was the end of the Hemi V-8 in a Dodge SUV?
Heh, oops. Not so much, apparently.
SRT Is Back
With the return of famed Dodge, SRT and Ram boss Tim Kuniskis to Stellantis as the guy calling most of the shots for product in North America, the Hemi V-8 has been resurrected and gas-powered grunt is very much back in the product plan for the automaker’s American brands. While the Durango may be getting (very) long in the tooth, it’s also selling reasonably well for Dodge, with sales up 51% in the second quarter of 2025 versus Q1. This is extraordinary for a vehicle that last saw a major redo back for the 2011 model year and received some minor updates for 2014 and 2021. But along with Kuniskis coming back, the SRT (Street and Racing Technology) go-fast team is also coming back — so expect to see more high-performance stuff from Dodge and others.

Pricing and Availability
Pricing wasn’t made available by Dodge at the time of publication, but with ordering going live Aug. 13 and deliveries expected by late 2025, that information should be known soon.
Hopefully, the massive price cuts that Dodge made for the 2025 Durango SRT Hellcat (more than $28,000 on some trim levels, and nearly $11,000 on the base trim versus 2024) will stick around for the new model year, as well. As for where the Durango soldiers on to from here, that’s anyone’s guess right now — but it’s not looking like there are any more Last Calls being done.
