2003 Toyota Sequoia SR5
I am a mechanic and I have had several types of cars, but none of the previous ones made me feel so confident and safe, the first generation Toyota sequoia has some problems with the doors and other details that are not serious, but they are all insignificant compared to the reliable mechanics of this SUV, it only needs maintenance and that's all, if I decide to buy another auto Without a doubt it would be Toyota

The stability is great far as your truck being big on the outside is great being a huge on the inside is great I love the room you can fit eight people that's great a lot of trucks can't do that comfortability is great you go over holes potholes you barely can feel it seem like the truck absorbs the pot holes and bumps and things of that nature the you can control your atmosphere in the truck and that's great we had a big rain up here in Maryland and the Toyota Sequoia responded as expected we had heavy fog the headlights and a fog lights and the lights overall look great they pierced the fog is overall safe driving love to airbags love how to love how you got in position if the truck big the airbags are big and I like that

We still own our Sequoia Limited edition.
We still own our Sequoia Limited edition. As of 2024 we have 207,000 miles and I make sure all of the maintenance is performed. We live in Ohio and pull a 23 foot trailer weighing 6,000 pound to Arizona each year and back with no problems or any kind of breakdown. It is great for highway driving. The engine and transmission are top notch and very quiet. We have no rust and I do the washing a waxing. Many think it is a new vehicle because of its care.

I want to thank all the salespeople at Rochester Car
I want to thank all the salespeople at Rochester Car Clearance for making the car buying experience very quick and easy. David, Steve and A.J. were all great and worked as a team. I had an issue after buying my new vehicle. They were great and helped me with the issue. I would definitely buy from again.
Just do the maintenance and keep driving.
Front driver's seat room a little short for long legged people, mileage is not good both hauls whatever and pulls my boat very well. At 327,000 miles she didn't earn the name sno-cat for nothing.

Very good, but a couple problems
Very powerful and strong car. Looks good and is always comfortable. Always starts but rust is a problem. We had to replace the rear end 3 years ago. If you are going to buy one, check for rust. Overall, very good car.

Best car buying experience so far
I bought a car there yesterday from Paul. He was diligent, thorough with the out of state paperwork and even took care of an issue with the car that was discovered after we closed the sale. If you are looking for a no frills, fair, no pressure shopping experience ask for Paul.
High quality, large, powerful SUV
Purchased as a dealer demo with 6k miles. Now it has 340k miles. Used for daily driving, long soccer trips, and towing a 21-foot outboard. Things are starting to break more frequently, but I can't complain. We always follow the maintenance recommendations with oil and fluid changes, belt replacements, etc. Kept outside for 5 years, but other than that the car was garaged. Had trouble with second-row door locks. Broke a strut when we hit a huge pothole, but other than those few problems we just keep driving. Gas mileage is only average. Probably around 16-18 mpg. My biggest complaint. But it is a huge car. When we were hauling 2 adults and 6 teenage soccer players (in comfort), the gas mileage was more than reasonable. Moderate engine noise; somewhat jerky when the gas is applied. Great comfortable seats. Full three-row car; even the back row can seat an adult comfortably.

Most reliable vehicle I’ve ever owned 214,000
I think it’s a great vehicle the door handles break and rear hatch handle needs to be built stronger .also needs better breaks and rotors. If you do the timing belt and water pump change, and oil change when you are supposed to great engine. Just that it has problems with that and it’s very bad on gas mileage. And the oxygen sensors keep going out. But over all my favorite vehicle I’ve ever Had / the old Toyota vans where great too . I will look to buy another one in the future.

Great!
Great! It was easy and the dealer was well organized which which made the experience enjoyable.
Amazing SUV, all around...
We bought our Sequoia new in 2004, it's been driven around town, driven out of town...hauled babies, kids, lots of dogs, groceries, furniture...everything . Many years and 93,000 miles later, it runs as well as it did Day 1 . Absolutely the least problematic car I have ever owned, it's only needed routine oil changes, battery & tire replacements...not one problem after that! Well, not a problem except for the lift gate ....as most people researching the Sequoia's of this time probably know, there is a recognized, but not recalled (I was told that since it was not a 'safety issue' it would not be ) problem affecting the liftgate. The latch apparently fails, leaving it unable to be opened. I think some people have their back window fail, also, but mine has not. I've read online that of you're handy with that sort of thing, it is fixed fairly easily for one $150 part. I am not handy like that so I priced the repair, got about $450-$500. Other than that, it! a dream ! My leather seats are not worn or torn, stained, the carpet and headline are still in great shape, no problems at all! The paint on the trim is fading and chipping but it's not hugely apparent on mine because the actual trim is the same. Overall, this car has served me well and will be on the road for another 10+ years. I could not have purchased a better one for my life.

Found the car I was looking for at a fair price! Quickest buying experience ever!
really great truck
I think it is great and very reliable. My sequoia has 327,000 miles on it and it is still running. Due to the fact it has a lot of use on it, the interior is a little worn down and it isn't as nice as it used to be but it is still a good truck. The only issues that I have had with this car is the battery and I have had to replace it. I would recommend an older sequoia to a younger person looking for something to get you around town. Overall a great truck that you should consider buying.

Sturdiest Vehicle I've Owned
This car was my second Toyota Sequoia, and my first SUV type vehicle. It's extremely spacious, with tons of space when the seats are folded up and third row removed. Enough space for a full size air mattress if you go camping. Not so great at off-roading, it does great in the snow with the 4x4 activated, but it's big and heavy so going up any trails is a strain on the motor. Driven through 2-3 feet of snow and had not problems. Great for groups, 6 passenger capacity so great for carpooling or group trips. Down sides: It's a gas guzzler, it averages about 14 MPG, 15 if you have a light foot and are careful about how you accelerate.

They took care of me as I was his own family
I have bought a car from them for my daughter. The car wouldn't accept gas Bob told me to take it to their mechanics their mechanics found some stuff that was wrong with it and Bob took care of me as I was his own family. Really really really appreciate the honesty and how they took care of me and my kids.
Great family vehicle!
This SUV has been a great, reliable vehicle. Many options for more people to ride. We had a box on the top and it work d great. We towed a raft with no issues. We actually sad to sell it but we are downsizing due to grown kids.

Best Large SUV
Had a 2005 Limited for five years and just replaced it with a 2008 Limited. The 2008 is better in every way. The 5.7l motor provides “muscle car” performance for this 6000lb SUV. You can fit 275/65/20 (34”) tires without modification - previous owner did a body color grill surround and LED headlights to upgrade the look. With a light foot i can average near 15 mpgs and up to 18 on the highway- not bad for something with the comfort and space of most living rooms lol. Easily the best vehicle I have owned in 40+ years of driving

I bought 2011 Honda Pilot in 2016 and 2010 Chevrolet Suburban in 2024. Both transactions went well. Honest and easy to deal with. They were very upfront on the defects on the vehicles.
Surprising reliability and power
We owned our Sequoia for 6 years and have used it mostly as a daily commuter / sports shuffler, but we have also used it to run around town with a trailer to pick up 1-2 tons of rock / sand / dirt / firewood instead of having to pay for deliveries. We've also used it to pull campers over the last 3 years (pop-ups, hybrids, and now a TT). The Sequoia is rock solid and always stands up to whatever task we put up against it.
