Have owned Cayennes, 911s, 911 turbos and this Cayman over the past 35 years. This car is my favorite, based on reliability, fun, performance and practicality. Still runs exactly the same as when I bought it.

I bought a 2006 Cayman S three years ago. After I test drove it I was sold. I had been rear ended in my 2000 Toyota. After a few days the battery went out and my wife came to jump me off. Bought anew batter. A few weeks later fluid was leaking. I was pleased it was just the water pump. It seems people who buy this car and don’t use it have water pump problems. Eventually new brakes and a tune up. Runs like a jewel. I could not have fully appreciated this car at a younger age. Yes, it is an attention getter. I am quick to let people know it is a 2006 model. I think that keeps me grounded that I am not a helluva fellow because I own a Porsche. Oh yeah, eventually got new tires even after being told I could wait.

This car has been maligned as having reliability issues due to IMS issues and bore scoring. From what I can gather, bore scoring occurs from improper maintenance and driving beyond 7200 rpm. Maybe I am wrong as I am no mechanic--far from it. If you know the car has a good history as did mine, with one owner and regular oil changes and dealer inspections, it is hard to go wrong. I did a PPI with an independent mechanic and as far as he could see past the spark plugs he found no issues and no leaks or evidence of same on the underside. Every time I drive this car I have a smile on my face. What is that worth?

This car is great all around car! For daily commutes,carving up the back roads, or for a track day! Also plenty of leg room and will hold $200.00 worth of groceries.

Excellent car for the money. We have the base 2.7 manual and although not the fastest..it is still a thrill to drive with it's kart-like handling. Reliability has been good as long as service is kept up. A long term keeper!!

Had a flat tire on our 2022 Jeep Cherokee, vehicle didn't have a spare tire or fix a flat. Mike at Ryan's front counter was super to work with and found that we had roadside assistance. Got me the phone number and had the vehicle towed to Buffalo. Mike also ordered the fix a flat that was suppose to be in the vehicle when purchased. Service repaired the tire in a timely manner. The car hugs the corners great , you can never go wrong with a nice looking Porsche , a lot of leg room and good on gas.

Had a great experience with Tony and Beau. We communicated via text message per my request because it made things easier to go over with my husband, and because I have children being loud all around me. They gave me a lot for my trade in, and Tony assured me he would not drop that price once I made it to their shop. I live about 3 hours away, and that assurance was nice. The Cayman R is amazing on all levels. The R handles like a race car but is soft enough for the street. The mid-engine configuration (which is also leveraged by the factory Porsche race team for their GTLM entries) is superior. This car will be a collectable very soon as only 461 made it to the US.
