These cars are very unique and getting more rare. Fun to drive especially the manual trans. Be sure to get a PPI if you are looking to buy. Good service and upkeep is a must and will cost $1500. -2000 per year. Higher in years when you have timing belt, tires , brakes , etc. Parts are pricey and you need a shop that has experience with this era of Porsche. But definitely worth it!

Under Rated Porsche
The 968 model has always been in short supply and it has proven to be a very capable performer against cars considerably newer and costing a while lot more. My 1994 Coupe is a low mileage example that has been well maintained and provides exceptional performance and handling and is always the center of attention at local PCA meetings.

Overall great experience!
Everything was great from the first call to the last. Dealt with Kevin mostly, it was a smooth, quick deal with none of the typical haggling and runaround you get from other dealers. Response time to questions and pics requested (car was purchased remotely) was quick. Even when there was a slight snafu with shipping (not the fault of Sky Motors), they stepped in and got it taken care of. No doubt I’ll look to them first when it’s time for my next vehicle.

I'm One of 616 proud 1994 coupe owners of this rare steed according to PCNA sales data sheet. I just recently purchased this fine 968 example from Cars.com as of December 3, 2011. This Porsche was built directly from the Zuffenhausen assembly factory. The 968 also represented the best and latest automotive racing technology for its time. In fact, it was ahead of it's time with VarioCam aka VVTS which is now a common technology. Overall, this car is a pure sports car built to drive fast and durable high performance driving at its best. The 968 is the true culmination of Porsche's 944 legacy. Thank you Doctor Ferry Porsche for your dose of adrenaline rush that you have prescribe to us automobile speed junkies of the world.

1995 Porsche 968 Cabriolet review
The 968 Excellent Vehicle; Excellent Value
The 968 is an excellent example of Porsche's front-end engine design. It dates back to the older 924 and 944 lines with the 968 being the most desirable. They benefit from parts sharing with the 944 turbo, 928, and 993 911 line. They are often referred to as being Toyota like in their reliability and carry one of the lowest operating costs of any Porsche model. Great value for the money; having the highest naturally aspirated HP per liter of displacement for 8 years from '92 when it was launched until '00 when the Honda s2000 was released. Also very practical as a daily driver especially in coupe form. These are among the rarest of any production Porsche to date.

I owned a red cab myself and drove daily for 7 years, sold to my best friend and she has driven it for the past 7 years. Still driving with no intention of ever stopping. Should have never sold it.
