Used Mitsubishi Montero for sale near Chicago, IL

This is my 2nd Montero. I bought the 1st one new. I am considering purchasing a 3rd one. I hate that they are not still making them here. I know everything about this SUV. With regular maintenance, there is hardly anything bad to say about it. I simply love it. I currently have 220,000 miles on mine.

Comfortable seats, Nice on long drives, Easy to drive albeit slowly. Off Road My Montero surprised me! This thing is built like a tank and can show itself off crawling rocks and driving in Sand deep sand, Even Sand Dunes like a champ! In 2020 these vehicles are undervalued on the used market. The Best Off and ON road SUV in the capacity of V6 with 3.8L ,,, The only Competitor cud b LX450, 470 or Landcruiser But they are V8 so not really a fair comparison Capacity is more in THE Montero than Landcruiser coz 3rd row goes inside Not handing on the side and taking luggage space away.

I always liked the rugged look of the montero. It took awhile to find a nice one but the wait was worth it. Feels cool to ride in this unique truck

Bought it brand new and took by ship to Punta Arenas, march 2003. We travelled the entire Chilean Patagonia and crossed to Santa Cruz province to Perito Moreno and down to Usuahia and back to Punta Arenas in harsh weather and up North to Santiago. After 20-year It has 280.000 K, because I alternated it with Company car and worked out of town, but since my retirement 7-month ago, its my only transportation to wherever I go. It’s too bad they discontinued it.

This my third Mitsubishi Montero, first 2006. I have homes in Dallas and Colorado. It handles very well on the Hwy. and is indomitable in the mountains where 4 wheel low lock is a must sometimes. It is good looking, especially with the right size wheels and tires that balance the look. It never breaks, the reliability is ridiculously . I have a half million miles on Mitsubishi Montero's without a major repair. What other SUV can do that? Others may give you a more luxurious ride you will enjoy while being stuck in the snow but this 2006 montero is good looking, comfortable, maneuverable and supremely reliable.

There is a cult following for this vehicle . The generation called the 2.5 generation (made from 98-00) is very rare and very desirable. They still command great sums of money.
