Bought my 1999 trooper 13 years ago. Tranny was bad when I bought it and 70,000 miles later it's trouble free I have people tell me they wish they didn't sell theirs and some asked if it was for sale and I politely say no not for sale

230,000 miles only routine maintenance. Mud and snow are no problem. TOD works great. cavernous interior, great headroom, great visibility. Going to buy another one. Wish they were still around, and available with the Isuzu diesel engine.

I search a lot before buying the vehichle Illinois as you know has a lots of snow and windy so it is Important to have very strong stable S.U.V. and I believe I was right to get Trooper

Purchased with 80k miles. Has been wonderful, but with minor flaws. Has always leaked oil from valve cover, and valves always noisy. Has always had oil pressure problems to valves, but with monitoring has always been adequate. Wish fuel economy was better. Comfortable seats, interior, and ride for a big SUV. Great visibility. Handling excellent for what it is. Not pretty, but handsome. The best feature, though, is it's durability. Has been in six accidents and still been able to be driven away from every one. A car one can put ones family, or a teenager, in without worry, even with someone with only moderate driving abilities. Wish that it was still being made, and wish that the public had realized what a great vehicle it was when it was being made. In time, perhaps, it will become revered like the VW Bus.

I have not had any issues with my trooper. It has been hit 2 different times while parked in front of my house. It still runs like it's new. It is just recked on the passenger side.

I bought mine that had been sitting for 2 years, with 175,000 miles. I paid 1500 cash, all it needed was tranny fluid, and an oil change. At 190k i did the timing belt and water pump. It now has 205k and runs and drives great, Love my trooper.
