This car is fun to drive, high tech and a great deal for the price. It makes great use of storage and the seats are very comfortable!

Car is very nice inside and out. Had it for about a month now and have no complaints as of yet. The drive is very smooth, and very quiet. The T5 edition has plenty of power to get going quickly, and with eco-mode, it does very well with fuel efficiency. The interior of the car is extremely comfortable, and everything seems to have been designed around the driver. You will have to get used to nearly all the vehicle controls being on a large touchscreen in the center console. The only physical buttons are for hazards, audio controls, and drive mode selector. That means that all radio, A/C, and vehicle controls are located on the touchscreen. This however does a great job of cleaning up the interior and creating a simple and elegant design. The driver dash display is entirely digital and has a few options to change the theme of the display. The vehicle that I purchased came with a panoramic moonroof, which is absolutely massive. Sitting in the backseat, it extends from above your head, all the way up the above the driver. The trunk space is also very generous, and the lift gate in the back is nice and wide so you get the full width of the trunk to load things. Also comes with a spare tire (doughnut, not full size). I recently took it on a 1,000 mile road trip and never got uncomfortable sitting for multiple hours at a time. Also took it on a few rough roads and got to play with the "off-road" mode. Handled exceptionally. Overall I am very happy with this vehicle so far. It is a great looking car inside and out and I honestly look forward to driving it daily.

We were looking for an AWD small to mid-size SUV. We thought the XC40 would be too small for our needs but it is spacious and generously sized with comfortable rear seats, and plenty of cargo space. The car handles great, excellent acceleration and the technology and safety features make us feel safe and comfortable as we took it on too long trips within the first week we owned it.

Great car, sold me on the tech but some really stupid stuff that should work...particularly not having Bluetooth work for “apple car play” even though they have the recharging pad, you still have to plug the thing in for use of apple car play....really stupid.

My Volvo XC40 replaces a 2008 Lexus RX350. This car's tech is unbelievable. The size is perfect, the ride is @quiet and smooth, the engine and transmission is very responsive. You would not identify it being a 4 cylinder. This is a Inscription, T5, AWD model. The interior is comfortable, roomy, and luxurous. I love the exterior styling. This car so for is the perfect choice for me, no buyer's remorse.

The interior is so well thought out. It is a small car in size, but you wouldn't know it in the cabin. Very spacious with tons of storage.

I recently had an accident in my VOLVO xc40 T5 AWD rendering it a total loss claim on my insurance. Whilst negotiating a small roundabout in a narrow street the car suddenly speeded up and was totally unresponsive to braking. My insurance company has already offered to pay the market value or as the car was only six months old (Oct 2018) with less than 3000 miles on the clock a replacement car. I was concerned that the accident occurred as a result of a fault in the car and requested VOLVO UK get involved. They reported that the car had accelerated due to the accelerator pedal being 100% depressed by the driver and that there had been no braking activity. This is totally untrue as one instinctively brakes as speed increases and who would want to crash a £40K+ car into a wall. I do not accept this as VOLVO have been aware of this problem for some time as was reported by Volvo cars co-operative spokesman Per-Ake Froberg from Gothenburg, Sweden in an article titled :- “VOLVO WARNS OF UNINTENDED ACCELERATION IN SOME MODELS” who reported that at the time there had been 55 incidents of unintended acceleration and that Volvo did not have a fix to permanently take care of the problem. I have been a keen Volvo owner since 1981 having 17/18 volvos but feel people need to be made aware of this failure which could result in serious injury or fatality.

This car is loaded! Airbags everywhere! All the bells and whistles and then some. I am still learning and discovering all that it has. Anything I need to know, I can find in the touch screen computer! So quiet, I dont even hear the motor.

There really isn't anything not to love about this vehicle. I would say that the only complaint that I have about this vehicle is that it is loud when you are talking on the phone and driving on the highway. The cabin is not quiet

While driving the car shutdown 3 time In a 5 minute window had no stirring all interior or lights completely died was very scary brought it in for service was told it was a software issue guess what happen again 1 month later dont think it's a software issue .
