This car is the best sports car for the money. It can keep up with a WRX/STI stock for stock all day long. Really cool Active chassis makes the car able to switch between comfort, sport, and advanced sport modes. Very few R-models were made with the highly sought after 6 speed stick. The R-models are very rare compared to the base model s60's. Just an overall very reliable sports car.

Before I bought this Volvo I drove American cars only. Then I bought this beauty and I was hooked on foreign cars until I got my first repair. Holy Cow! How much?!? Was my response being that I was a high schooler at the time. I would most definitely recommend any Volvo to anyone they are beautiful cars to own, but just make sure you're prepared for those repair cost.

This car was super. Great to drive, reliable, able to handle loads of miles, plenty of juice, and safe.

'04 S60R Manual, Have owned the car for 3 years now, has treated me well, considering the abuse I put it through. Have had to do normal services to it, which, if you have a Volvo independent, or an established mechanic that is familiar with these cars, is no big deal. Repairs/parts/labor comparable to that of any other similar european car of the same year. Interior design, comfort, safety and quality of materials used is hard to come by even on some newer cars in the $45k-$50k range. Hard to keep real, barely treated leather clean, though. Real gas mileage for me, before the tune, was 25mpg AVG, 30 Hwy, 22 City, you must run premium fuel in these cars.

This car continues to amaze me. Even though it is 13 years old the ride is still terrific. It can go fast and has a lot of power.

All wheel drive needs updates especially in wet weather where it whines. Performance is outstanding and the quality of car is great. Again, good luck with maintenance and repairs past 50K miles.
