Toyota Cars Are Great Cars
Owning one of these, and I've owned two ('87 Turbo & '89, both std. trans.), is like having a Japanese-made Corvette; but the Supra has a fold down rear seat making it a versatile car for fun and everyday use with much better gas mileage. I especially liked the adjustable suspension (Sport & Highway) on the 1987 Turbo Supra I previously owned. I bought the 1989 with 158,000 miles and had no doubts it would easily surpass 300,000 miles without any major engine problems. Toyota does it RIGHT.

Supra Fun
Having owned a 89 since 95, I have to say it is the best car I have ever owned. Still looks just as sexy as the day it rolled off the showroom floor. Toyota should have put out a warning about tweeks in the head gasket, gone through several, but otherwise a fast & smooth runner.

Owning a legend.
Great sports car. Best car that I've ever driven. Well,I can't say much about it as a stock model anymore lol, cause now is a heavy modded car with a single turbo 2jz egnine boosting more than 700whp. One thing is for sure : There are no limits with a Supra turbo!

ONLY GOOD IF YOU INVEST
ONLY A GOOD CAR IF YOU PUT MONEY INTO IT. Stock wise the car is good for what it is back then but compare it to todays needs and insane handling in comparason to other car this car fails. The turbo charge 7mgte is a nice motor but toyota should of recalled it long ago about the head gasket. Unless you get that fix the car will always get a blown head gasket.

I will never buy another American car.
Talk about learning the hard way. I have spent my whole life driving American cars. I didn't know there was anything out there that was so much better engineered and easy to repair. This car is so much better engineered and more intuitive than any car I have owned. Considering it is now 19 years old, it is still superior (Supra) than the newest American cars I drive. These cars are less than two years old. The Supra is still more comfortable, intuitive, faster, smoother, and quieter than almost any American car I have driven.

Best handling, most reliable car I have owned.
At first glance it reminds you of the renowned 1966 Jaguar XKE. With its looks and performance, but without the downtime and all the associated expense of owning a Jaguar, it's a pleasure to own and drive this car. It is whisper quiet at idle but has a nice rumble when you hit the accelerator. It is steady at high speeds and comes to a commanding stop with its powerful ABS brakes.
