Well-designed with beautiful execution!
The best minivan I've ever seen. The AWD really sold me. The 2005 Odyssey was getting old with almost 200K on the ticker. The new Honda was nice but the Toyota really did it. Things I really appreciate: Six-speed transmission. AWD. BT syncing. Electric power steering (great feel t it and very smooth). The reclining seats with footrests are great for kids, but way to small for an adult to appreciate. The radio is very high quality. It has 2 moonroofs (I hardly ever used the 1 in my Honda). Overall, it is a very refined and quality minivan. My Limited AWD could have been a Lexus. Features exclusive to Toyota (such as AWD) make it the best minivan built. Did you know it is built in the USA?

Love my Van!
I love my new 2011 AWD Sienna Van! The new look is great and it is so rommy. I also love the new features that have been added to vans since my previously owned one.The functioning side windows and sunroof are really nice. My family loves the DVD entertainment system. My only suggestion is I wish the AWD's had the option of dark interior.

Never thought I'd say this about a minivan...
We owned a Honda Odyssey for 10 years. Because we have children and my wife likes to have room for everyone, she wanted another one. We purchased the 2011 Sienna XLE with crossbars and front tinted windows for several reasons. First, I trust Toyota quality. I've owned 4 Runners for years and I love the quality and attention to details. I lost faith in the Honda Odyssey. They have had a terrible time with the transmissions particularly in the Odyssey. We replaced it once and I didn't want to do it again. Not sure I can be fully convinced that the newer models are more reliable. Second, the Sienna XLE exterior design and styling is far superior to the 2011 Odyssey. The Sienna just looks better than the Odyssey. The bright white Sienna with black tinted windows looks really nice! Let me also mention here that the XLE engine seems appropriately powered and the turning radius is quite impressive. Third, the XLE has some really nice features for comfort and convenience. The XLE leather is really comfortable. It is like driving your living room down the road with everything you need within reach. The cup holders are deep and numerous which is a feature that the moms and the kids appreciate. Here is where I will mention the only 2 criticisms I have. 1. Although, the XLE interior is nicer than the very plain-looking LE models, I still don't like all the plastic in the interior and on the dash. Plastic equals cheap and this vehicle isn't cheap. For durability reasons, I understand why they chose plastic, but it does lack some class. 2. The sunroof is so small it is almost comical. Why? Additionally, why doesn't the sunroof retract into the roof? The design and usability of the sunroof does leave a little to be desired. These criticisms obviously didn't stop me from purchasing this vehicle, but the lack of attention to these two details was disappointing and not what I expect from Toyota. Fourth, although we commit to vehicles for many years, I trust Toyotas to hold their value better than their competition. It also helps that I got a fair deal on the vehicle. I wish I could tell you how fair... Currently, I drive the 4 Runner XSP with 20" wheels and chrome accessories and I love it; however- I never thought I'd ever say this- the Sienna isn't just nice for girls.

Not sexy, but a great reliable hauler
I traded in my sexy Infiniti FX for this practicle, but not sexy hauler. I have other Toyota vehicles and as them this 2011 is quiet, peppy and just an all around great ride. Does it sound or look like my Infiniti? Nope, but it does get better mileage, moves a lot more and is just an all around great ride.

AWD's Have No Spare Tire???
Great van - no doubt about it. Just be aware that the AWD versions come standard with run flat tires and as such DO NOT HAVE SPARE TIRES! Let me say that again - if you buy an AWD, be aware that the spare tire area is taken up by the AWD mechanicals and there is no spare tire in (or room for one should you want to add one) in the vehicle. Nothing wrong with run flats, but they are about $1,200 +/- a set to replace vs. $500 for std tires. You can switch over to std tires, but you will not have a spare tire on board unless you toss one in the back which kinda defeats the purpose of having a $40k+ van in the first place. Again great vehicles - just don't miss this relatively important footnote should you be looking at the AWD version.

Quality and Comfort
Hands down the best van I've ever owned. This is our 3rd. We tend to keep our vehicles about 7-10 years. However the last two Ford vans had MAJOR transmission problems before we could get our full usage. We bought the Toyota Sienna with full warranty and roadside service options we're really looking forward to getting the full usage this time. What a quality product compared to the Ford product! Plenty of room, everything fits and looks great. The Toyota cost more, but I think the extra cost is certainly obvious in craftsmanship and hoping dependability. I really thought I would buy a Honda, but my in-laws happen to buy one and I drove it several hours on a summer trip and I can tell you the Toyota drives better and, surprisingly, we bought it for less then the Odyssey.

Expensive, but good value
Our second Sienna, first one was 2002. This one has all the bells and whistles, more even than my Lexus. Lots of room, but comes at a price - we have to fold in a mirror to get it into the garage; something we never had to do. If that's a big deal, make sure you take good measurements. Otherwise, it's quiet, easy to drive, good transmission, controls mostly intuitive. Their DVD entertainment system (also plays Wii) is the best I've ever seen - does a split screen (so one kid watches movie and other one plays video games), bright and clear.

So glad to be rid of the SUV!!!
I thought I would miss my SUV as we have owned one for the past 10 years. Neither the kids nor I have missed driving around in the SUV for a second! The Toyota Sienns provides my busy family of seven (five sons) with much more room, both in the seating and in the rear storage area! The boys love reclining the seats, kicking back and watching movies on the DVD player when we are traveling long distances, and I love the smooth handling and convenience this car provides, not to mention, HALF the money at the pump!
