Love My RAV!
I have had my RAV4 4-cylinder for about 3 weeks now and just love it. I had a low-to-the-ground sports car before this and it is sooooo nice to be up and able to see everything now. The only drawback so far is that when I bought the car I was told I could order a cargo cover, but then found out that it is not available for separate purchase on the 2007!!! This makes no sense to me. Does anyone know where you can get this sort of thing? I have looked online somewhat and can't find one for a 2007 model year. I wrote a letter to Toyota USA to complain about this. Maybe if enough people complain they will make them available for purchase!

4 Cylinder SHINES in my opinion.
I recently purchased a regular model rav4 4WD 4 cylinder SUV. I was absolutely impressed with the pep that 4 banger had on the highway and the passing power it had on 2 ways! I had no problem passing vehicles. It had all the power I needed to do it. The only thing I wasnt crazy about was the location of the stereo, there seemed to be a lack of arm resting space and after a 4 hour drive, my tailbone was a little sore from a harder than normal seat. It handled the bumps beautifully and was a very stable quiet ride. Great responsive handling! It was a far better value over the Honda CRV's that I almost purchased instead. Highly recomend this vehicle!

FUN TO DRIVE AGAIN!!
This is my very first Toyota and I am well pleased with my purchase! I have to watch myself as I zip around town having way too much fun while I drive. The RAV-4 handles very well in and out of city traffic. The fuel economy is 29 mpg when driving at 65 mph, but gets better at 33 mpg at 60 mph. After 7 months I have 9500 miles and am looking to many more good miles. My only complaint is that the cruise control stutters as you travel up the mountain interstates out west, this is very annoying. However, if Toyota would ever make a hybrid version, I would snap it up quick!

An excellent choice for price, economy and comfort
This is my first Toyota purchase and I am very impressed with the handling, fuel economy, and front and rear seat comfort. I have owned my RAV4 for 7 months now and have almost 9000 miles on it and it just keeps getting better and better. My highway fuel economy is at 29 mpg at 65 mph and soars to 33 mpg at 60 mph! My only complaint is that the cruise control "flutters" when searching for the correct gear when traveling up the mountains out west. It has tons of hidden storage space. It makes driving so much fun. If Toyota would make a hybrid version, I would definitely buy one.

If you want a fun car to drive in an SUV....
If you want a fun SUV to drive then you got to look at the RA4. All of the reviews talk about the performance of the V6 269HP engine with great gas mileage. It really delivers when you push the peddle. In fact, some would cosider it a little to much power. Of course, that is why I bought the car and why I have to compete to drive it with the rest of the family. Hey, its my car, drive your own car! The only improvements that Toyota needs to focus for 2008 is quite the road noise. On a rough road you can feel and hear every bump. The sound system is great if you get the upgrade and the room in the back seat is outstanding. So if you are looking for an SUV that is fun to drive and still has enough room to get five passagers and stuff in the back comfortably, the RAV4 is the car to buy.

I LOVE MY RAV4 AND WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE!
This is my first Toyota and I am extremely pleased with the RAV4. It is very comfortable on long journeys and the rear seat is spacious enough to carry 3 adults. The RAV4 has plenty of cargo room and lots of hidden storage space. I have over 8000 miles in 7 months and the gas mileage keeps getting better and better. At 65 mph I got 29 mpg and at 60 mph I got 33 mph fully loaded. The only drawback is the cruise control sputters when looking for the correct gear as you travel up the mountains out west. If Toyota would ever make a hybrid version, I would definitely buy one.

Uncomfortable ride
There is much to like about the 2007 Toyota Rav4. Even in the base model I purchased the vehicle is well equipped with all the power stuff you expect. The handling and engine performance (even the 4-banger) are good. I got the third-row seat, which no living adult could sit in, but it does nicely for my small children. However, the test drive was too short and not over varied road surfaces, so I missed the downsides during my 10 minutes behind the wheel before purchase. The suspension is tight and you feel every little bump in the road. Big bumps are handled nicely, but you feel every little imperfection in the road. It is kind of like riding on a float in the ocean. This could have been accepted as going with the sportiness of the Rav4 if it were not for the hard, unsupportive, and entirely uncomfortable drivers seat. It might be better in the Limited trim, or with the power seat, but this seat is probably the most uncomforable one I have ever experienced. After seriously considering taking the car back and eating thousands, I instead bought some foam, build some thigh support, and hid it under a seat cover. It works for the most part, but not what you would expect to have to do with a brand new car. My wife had no problem finding a good seating position, so I must assume shorter folks might be just fine. Bottom line, if you are a 6' man or if you are looking for a softer ride in your new vehicle, you should take the time to drive, or at least sit in, a Rav4 for a good while before deciding whether it is the vehicle for you. It has a lot to commend it, and it should be reliable, but I would not buy it again.

Sweet 17
I got this car for my seventeenth birthday which was last week. I LOVE THIS CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's so comfortable and it handles like a dream. I rolled up to school and everyone was doing backflips to see what it was, their peering, envious eyes were fixated on me. It's grey, which is really rare in my area. It also has great fuel economy. Things I'm not to excited about is the interior styling, or should I say the center console/dashboard. It's plain, but my aunts loved it. I pulled was waiting in my aunt's parking lot(she lives in a complex) and she was so shocked, she loved it(including the the console, yuck!)! My little cousin hopped in the back and was jumping around in the cargo space. I just recently discovered it has third row seating but I haven't had a chance to toy with it yet. The seats are really comfy, and they cabin is solid. I was at ease, listening to my Rihanna cd as my friends and I went out for my birthday, a mini road trip about 50 miles away from me. Well, I'm not going to bore you, but this car is an eyecatcher(though I'd get rid of those hideous headlights). I love this car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great change from a lumbering large SUV
I wanted a more eco friendly SUV and I chose the Rav 4. I bought it in Dec. '06 and did not have the advantage of reading the reviews on the 4cyl vs. the 6cyl. Kind of wish I bought the 6, but wanted to ensure the 25+ mpg.Since I was trading in a full size V8 SUV that averaged 16...didn't want to end up with a small V6 SUV that would get 18mpg, as I often hear with the Saturn, Suziki, etc. Too bad, but the 4cyl is fun enough when you are driving solo.Overall, great vehicle...and I like the swing gate in the rear...this ride looks really sharp if you take the rear wheel cover off to show the matching 18" spare.Hard to score reliability after 6 months, but let's hope it stays a 5-Star...as most Toyota vehicles do!

A Complete SUV Package
I purchased a Sport 4X4 V6 in Pacific Blue. Not easy to find locally, but what a combination! The V6 has awesome power - just leaps into freeway traffic from a standing start. A bit jumpy sometimes, a delicate foot on the accelerator helps keep it smooth. The suspension makes if feel more like a sports car than a SUV - great road feel. The 4WD xxxxxxthrough puddles like they weren't there - it's not only for snow. Getting 22 mpg so far in mostly city driving, haven't yet taken a long trip. Excellent road visibility, easy to maneuver in Houston traffic. I love the 18" alloy wheels and cool brown interior fabric of the Sport trim. Loads of room for a 6'2" driver, or rear passenger. The swinging gate is sometimes awkward, esp. when someone is parked right behind you, but with the spare outside there's more room inside. I got the 6-speaker radio (not JBL), rear storage cover and fog/running lights - all good choices. What's not to like???
