Superb quality and unbelievable MPG!
Purchased a 3 month old 2013 Toyota Prius Two from a high volume central Florida Toyota dealer in January. Got a great deal. Our Prius is a joy to drive - very quiet (especially compared to our former 2009 Hxxxa Cxxxc LX) and drives like it's on rails. On local highway trips, we usually get in the mid-50's MPG. On local non-highway trips, I have gotten as high as 83.5 MPG. Honestly! You learn to drive like you have a raw egg under your foot if you want the best MPG. This car is high quality - extremely well constructed. VERY comfortable seats and plenty of leg room. I'm 6'1" and I rode in the backseat during the test drive. Felt very comfortable. As the driver, I don't have to have the seat all the way back. Have a long highway trip coming in a few days and we're looking forward to the gas savings and seeing how good we can do on our MPG.

Come on now 59 to 70 mpg?!
I have no idea how anyone is obtaining the very high mpg performance. I've had my Prius for 3 months now and the very best I have achieved from a tank of gas is 47mpg. I like my car very much. I try as much as possible to stay in ECO at the worst and in EV as much as possible. At the end of a trip the readout will say I got 55.1 or 65 or 48 or even 70.1 one time. Rarely does it say less than 50 at the end of a trip. However, not one fill up has ever exceeded 47mpg. So, I don't put much stock in the accuracy of the end of trip mpg summary. If someone is routinely, tank after tank, obtaining in excess of 50mpg; I would love to know how they do it. Maybe they live in areas of the country that are dead flat.

Prius 2013
While we really like the car , the manuals could be a little easier to understand, there are so many options and information it makes your head spin , you almost need to be a computer genius to use all the gadgets and info you can use on the vehicle,

Happy Prius owner
I'm averaging 59.6 MPG, normal driving in my 2013 Toyota Prius with package four I purchased November 1st. In ECO mode commuting from work in heavy stop and go traffic, I achieved 70.1 MPG. Impressive!. Everyone I know who owns a Prius is happy with it. Best purchase I made this year!.

Just bought my Second Prius
I just traded in my 2009 Prius for a 2013 Prius Four. The only reason I traded my old one in is because I wanted to upgrade to heated seats, blue tooth, etc.

It could be better but what couldn't?
Look, either you're into this type of eco friendly and gas miser type car or you are not. If you're not, then go burn rubber with the so-called sport sedan owners, get 20-25mpg, better comfort/handling, prestige and all that but leave the rest of us Prius owners alone! No wonder they call the Prius a game changer and/or a polarizer. Here's my take on the Prius: Good: Fuel economy. Duh. Roomy interior. Utility. Bad: Tire burning/smoking getaways but if you want this from a Prius, you're delusional in the first place. I think a lot of people like to put down anything that fails to fit their image of what IT should be, like a car for instance. I'm the type that doesn't like to go with the flow with the other dead fish. The Prius is cool. If you get that, you'll get it. If you don't, you never will.
