We like our Toyota Highlander.

We bought the Toyota Highlander from B & D Auto Sales in Lincoln from Marv Kemper. He was nice to work with.

2012 Used Highlander

Great car! Wanting to sell as soon as possible. Willing to talk about price. Needs new tires and battery but other than that it is in great condition.

2012 Toyota Highlander

I like the simple rugged styling of the 08-12 Toyota Highlander. Ours is equipped with the XLE trim which includes leather, navigation, JBL stereo and a sunroof. The interior is very upscale compared to the base model. I like the simpleness of the controls, there are still knobs for the radio and heat. The navigation system is touch screen operated (no mouse) and very easy to operate. Spacious interior, smooth ride and Toyota dependability.

3 year owners review

After owning my 2012 Highlander for 3 years, I felt that I could write a review on better experience then when I bought the car. First, let me say, I really like this car. It is very comfortable to drive, handles well, V6 engine offers plenty of power (even when I pull a small trailer loaded down), and fuel economy has been exceptional (average 22 MPG). I opted for a base model, so I can not speak to all the bells and whistles offered on the sport and limited models, but what I have has served me well. The cabin is quiet, and the ride is very smooth. Reliability has been excellent, with not a single repair (except replacement of the battery). My only complaints would be that the 3rd row seating is clearly not intended for adults, unless you want to put your enemies back there. Forget about having any leg room at all, and when the third row in engaged, not much storage in the rear either. Not sure what Toyota was thinking, but if I had it to do over again, I would have forgone the 3 row for more storage in the rear. (Just my opinion here) Secondly, I have never really been impressed with the electric power steering on this car. It turns effortlessly as it should, but there is absolutely no feedback from the road. It took some getting used to, but I just don't care for the feel. I know it is a great fuel saver for the engine, but there should be a way to give it more feel for the driver. I have never driven any other car with electric power steering, so this just may be the way it is, not sure. If I had it to do over, I would buy this car again. No regrets.

2012 Highlander

This Toyota Highlander compares very favorably with the Acura MDX at a significant savings. Love the comfort, ride, handling looks of this vehicle. I like Hondas too but this Highlander is way better than the corresponding Pilot in my opinon.

Not the Toyota of Old

I have driven over 1 million miles. I have owned many vehicles. I must say most have been a disappointment including this 2012 Higlander. I owned a 2009 Highlander and it was the best vehicle I owned. But, this 2012 is completely different. The cabin is far from quiet. The seats are stiff and not well bolster. If you have long legs, the driver seat does not bolster the leg well. The electric steering motor in the steering wheel makes noise if you turn the wheel fast. The plastic under the car makes noise if at the right speed and right wind direction. Overall, not toyota quality more like US quality. Might be because they are now made in the US.
