2012 FJ Crusier

Having looked at an FJ for years, I felt confident that a) it was well made, and b) could serve the purpose I wanted it for. Considering the competition, it is a bit over priced. It is a good work-vehicle for what I do (civil engineering) and a good off-road vehicle. The stick version comes with all-wheel drive. This cuts into mileage, but it preferable to part-time 4-wheel drive as AWD has better traction at all times. With the mirrors properly set visibility is quite good, except one cannot see overhead lights without leaning forward. A back up camera and rearward sensors are a must. It drives extremely well and has good acceleration. Mileage (4200 miles) has been 19.5 with 50/50 hwy/city. I loathe carpeting in any vehicle (or homes for that matter) and like the ease of cleaning/washing rubber flooring/mats.
