I love this car
I bought a 2007 Corolla LE used, as a second car and I love it much more than I thought I would. Just wish it came in a hatchback. The only thing I don't like about it is how it handles on the highway when its windy. The gas mileage is fantastic and I noticed the gas mileage in more recent models is not as good as the 2007. I can get 38 mpg on the highway.

Best first car I've owned
I bought this Corolla S brand new in 2007. Despite its size, which is quite small, the vehicle runs flawlessly. I love the torque whenever I step on the gas pedal, this car leaps up!!! Being a small car, the Corolla shakes when other vehicles pass by at traffic light. It also is noisy when driving on the highway; however, the MPG is making up for these problems. If Toyota could make the Corolla a bit larger car, it would be perfect.

Paint
The Paint on my car started pealing off, and they would do nothing.... All they did was give me some touch up paint. There were several spots were it was coming off and rusting and they told me that it was stone chips, even on my trunk.

I hate this car. Seriously
Okay so I've owned a 2007 Corolla CE and after driving it for over three years I have decided to write a review about it. First off I loved this car when I first got it. It was my first car and I was told it was dependable and it got good gas mileage. So at first I was just so happy to have my own car but after driving it for so long I started to realize more and more reasons why I hate it. First off the acceleration is horrendous. You feel like your pushing your car to the limits anytime you need to get on the expressway or pass slower moving cars. Secondly the paint on this car looks spectacular brand new but the paint is aging quickly. I have maintained this thing to a T and washed it about every three weeks. But yesterday I went out to start the car and it turned on but no acceleration when I put my foot to the pedal. So now I have to go get this stupid thing fixed. And yes it had a full tank of gas and just had the oil changed. There should be nothing wrong with a car after just 36,000 miles. Which happens to be just outside the warranty. The only reason I got this car was because of the predicted reliability and depreciation value and now that doesn't even hold up. I couldn't be more angry right now. From now on I'm only buying American made cars. Ford is starting to get on the right track and those cars don't look like they were designed by a three year old. Whatever you do don't buy this car. Drive something you're going to have fun in. Sincerely.

Corolla 07'
Bought this car back in August 2007, till date haven't spent a dime on repairs, never has the check engine light or any other warning sign come on. Excellent fuel economy, smooth drive on local roads and highways coupled with the comprehensive warranty Toyota offers on the car - peace of mind indeed. Guess what, this prompted me to go in for another one, this time around it is the more stylish and trendy 2009 Corolla. Same dealership, they gave me a good deal on the second one and I still get excellent "After Sales - Service", oil changes cost less money at the dealership than a traditional mechanic. Also I must mention, have driven 30500 miles already, and have worried much less about gas prices or fill ups. Verdict: A "Win Win" deal in every respect, best car your money can buy. Given a choice between a Merc and a Corolla, I would go for the Corolla, why pay in the high 5 when you can get the same quality and comfort in the lower 5. The newer 2009 corolla turns heads and draws instant attention in any parking lot, see my review on the 09'. Some say this is a "Plain Jane", I would say this is the "G I Jane" in its class.

Not the quality I was led to expect
I bought this car for two reasons; 1. MPG and 2. Toyota reputation for reliability. This car does get good MPG (37/gallon for me) but beyond that I find it very lacking. It is one of the more uncomfortable cars I have ever sat in, definitely not made for an average male. Since the steering wheel does not telescope, I have to drive with my legs bent more than is comfortable so I can reach it. The rest of the interior is cramped and kind of cheap feeling. I am at 30k on the miles and I have body parts starting to fall off. The front bumpers pieces that hold the fog lights are coming off and the dealer told me that it just happens and Toyota assumes I hit something so they will not fix it. I know it has never hit anything, but they refuse to budge on it. The little rubber gasket they put around the added on body panels is starting to tear and fall off and again this is supposedly my fault. The tires are already bald and need replaced, but most car company put bad tires on there so I expected that. My wife just got a Mazda3 and it is a lot more comfortable than the Corolla. It is obvious that Toyota has started cutting corners to keep their profit up on these newer Corollas, and at the rate this one is going it will never see 100k for miles. I know I will not, because as soon as I find something else I am selling it off. Do yourself a favor and buy a different make.

2007 Toyota Corolla LE
Purchased an '07 on 3/21/09 for my wife. Needed a second car for commute purposes. Had a 1976 Corolla in the late 70's when I was a teen. Loved both for different reasons. Anyway, the '07 is a great little "put around town" car. Just took it on a trip to Monterey, and got about 40-41 MPG. Very impressive. Has more standard features than my '02 Sequoia. Put in an after-marked car stereo, which really makes it fun for me to drive. The wife thinks it's hers, but I find myself driving it as much as she does. For the money, you can beat the value...keeping in mind that this is a "compact car". Next mission, to find a good used one for the son going off to college in the Fall of 2010!

One of the best values out there.
We purchased our 2007 Toyota Corolla in August of '07, and couldn't have been more satisfied. We got the CE model with the 5 speed manual transmission, for about $13,000 brand new. Keep in mind, it was the basic model, no power windows or power locks, but considering the price and the fact that I only used it to commute back and fourth to work, it was a great value. I put about 100 miles on it every day, cruising at about 75 mph, yet still getting about 40 mpg; no lie. It had outstanding fuel economy, outstanding reliability (absolutely no problems whatsoever), and, what I learned first hand, amazing safety. I hit a deer on the Garden State Parkway at about 75-80 mph, and I got out without a scratch. And the airbag didn't even deploy (because I had struck the deer on the front-left part of my Corolla, not close enough to the sensors to deploy the airbags). Unfortunately, the insurance company declared it a "Total Loss". I will miss my Corolla a lot, it was a great edition to my family. I would absolutely recommend this car to anyone who searching for a solid commuter car with outstanding economy, reliability, and safety. Toyota is really on to something.
