Avalon Hybrid Ignition System is Aweful!

We used to love our Avalon Hybrid until the ignition system started having problems starting our car. The dealership said we are not driving it enough to charge the battery. I never heard of such a thing before. After 2 trips to the dealer and now needing a third for this problem we are questioning whether this car is worth keeping. It is not reliable and we constantly have to call AAA for jump starts. I am hoping a Battery Tender Plus might do the trick for us or that something can be found that is parasitically draining our battery. Other than that, we love the car but if it not dependable then it is no good to us.

The most trouble-free and no-cost or down time car

No risk purchase since car has Toyota Platinum Extended Warranty (10 yr./100,000 mile bumper to bumper, no deductible)The car has all available accessories. AC blows cold. Smooth, quiet, and plenty of power when you need it to enter expressway. Extremely roomy front and back seats for even those over 6 ft. No smoking.

First Hybrid

Just got it but the initial drive home 335 miles from dealer to home was very enjoyable. I have a lot of experience driving all kinds of cars for work.

Reliable and comfortable commuter car

The car met all my needs, had enough leg room both front and back, and the most important factor was the comfortability of the seats both as a driver and as a passenger

Not just for old people

We purchased this car after trading in a 4Runner after realizing what we were spending in gas money every month. Can beat the 40mpg of the Hybrid!
