My 2005 Avalon was the best car I have ever owned,

This car drove as good at 13 years as it did when it was new. Fabulous car! The ride comfort and power in this car was amazing!

A stealth Lexus for the savvy shopper!

My Avalon is an XLE Plus. I went to my dealership not intending to buy an Avalon - I had a Camry in mind - but the salespeople offered me an Avalon with such a deal that I could scarcely say no! So, I bought one, and I am glad I did. My previous car, a Camry, is considered to among the quieter and better-riding cars in its segment. The Avalon edges the Camry out on both counts. The ride is especially good on highways, but it usually handles road imperfections well. It may bounce a little if you have a lot of bumps all at once, though. The car is very quiet, with only a little road noise and very light engine hum leaking in. The acoustic windows do a very good job at tuning out trucks and other noisy companions on the road. The Avalon offers many safety features, not to mention most of the comfort and luxury features one would expect at this price or beyond: leather-trimmed seats, heated seats, a moonroof, a tinted rear view mirror, and so on. The 268hp V6 can move this car quite quickly, yet its gas mileage is surprisingly good for a car of this size and power. On the rural two-lane roads where I usually drive (the kind with 55 mph speed limits), I can get 31-36 mpg without really trying. The Avalon is not a sports car, so don't expect top-of-the-line handling. That said, the Avalon handles well enough for a car that's designed to be a highway cruiser (or glider). Toyota seems to be moving toward more angular and aggressive lines in its car styling, but this Avalon hasn't been so "upgraded" yet - and that's a plus for me. I prefer the Avalon's curves. Its shape and color (mine is Dark Metallic Gray) show a subtle elegance. This is not a car that will go viral anywhere you drive - and, for e, that's also a plus. The seats are quite comfortable, with all the power adjustments you would expect. Even though the back is a bit higher that I'm used to, visibility remains quite good. The Avalon offers dual climate control for the front passengers. The rear seats offer lots of legroom, and are as comfortable as the front seats. The audio system produces very good sound quality. It was not difficult to pair my iPhone with it. The displays are, in general, easy to access and informative. The one down side to the touchscreen display is that there is no built-in navigation. That requires the top of the line Entune audio system, whereas mine is one notch below that. The navigation it offers is Scout GPS, which requires you to install the app on your phone and then use your phone's cellular data to access GPS info, which then displays on the Avalon's touchscreen. The national database that Scout has is in serious need of updating. When I need navigation, I just use Apple or Google Maps on my phone. I have had my Avalon for just over three weeks now and, overall, I am very pleased with it. The lack of built-in navigation seems "cheap" (dare I say) for a car in this price range - but, thus far, that's the only flaw of any kind that I see in my car. Toyota is offering a $4k rebate on 2018 Avalons, no doubt, to clear the way for the 2019's - that will feature more angular styling and the mother of all grilles. No thanks. I prefer the looks of this one. If you do, too, grab one while you can!

Seems good. Drives wonderful.

Features great, except all the touch electronics. Too complicated - needs simplification. Very comfortable. Drives easily. Meets all my needs. Spouse loves it too. Trunk space excellent.

Mechanically and beautifully disigned car

The Avalon rides like a Lexus that I have driven, but is a much better financial value for an 83 year old secnior citizen. The power and exceleration is phenomenal and makes me feel safe in any difficult situation. The comfort of "roomy" leg room and softness of a leather interior makes driving a pleasure, even in this crazy traffic of Southern California. Also, the digital features make driving easy and a pleasure. The Avalon's exterior and interior design truly make the car a "luxury" model.

Like the quietness of the ride

This Avalon is almost the same color, model and style as the 2013 we were driving. We liked that the ride was smoother and it has more bells and whistles than our previous Avalon.

My Avalon

This car, like the 2014 Avalon is a very comfortable regardless whethe4vyou are going a short or long distance. It is easy to drive andthe mileage that?d ne gets on a long drive is very good(around 31/32mpg) . I think for the size of car that is pretty good. I like the Pearl White color and the finish. This is the fourth Avalon that I have owned. I guess Imust like the name.

Reliable for past years

I've owned a 2006 Toyota Avalon, and it has been an awesome reliable car, I just bought a 2018. They are so similar in alot if ways except, all the electronics, I am hopeful they too will be as reliable as my 2006 was. We test drove a few other cars with all the bells and whistles, but this one stood out to us, so bought another one!

Excellent car. Very Comfortable.

This car is very comfortable. It has a lot of room inside so the passengers in the back seat have plenty of leg room. The Avalon really holds the road well while driving. It is a very sturdy car.
