Great 4 runner

Great truck, everything good, no problems, love everything about it, except turning radius could b better and I don't need all the doors to unlock when I stop n put the car in park.

Finnally a 4 Runner

Have had Jeeps, Explorers, to tow boat and do truck like chores. I wanted a 4 Runner used but they kept price so good I could not find a several year old model for much less then a new one. Broke down and bought new and now I know why they keep value. Awesome looks, layout, handling, and seating. Have third row which is pretty good, not great. Ride superb, smooth shift, dead quiet. Have yet to find something I would improve upon. Will keep this vehicle a long time and eventually sell it at a high resale value.

Not as good as the old ones

I previously owned a 2000 4Runner and ran it to about 220,000 before I decided it was time for a new one. I loved that truck and so a new one was a no brainer. Wrong! The new ones are bigger which I like but with that comes bad handling and super touchy brakes. My old one could still take off at the drop of a dime but the new one just doesn't have enough pep. Maybe because of the V6 engine on such a big vehicle. I have to say they really don't make things like they used to but overall its still a good truck just a little disappointed.

Most uncomfortable seats ever in a new SUV

My wife and I regret not taking this vehicle for a longer test drive. The 2011 4Runner is a beautiful SUV, with great features and style attraction. Unfortunately, the seats are about as comfortable as a park bench. The front seat backrests are so still it is next to impossible to get comfortable. The seat cushions are so firm, if you take this vehicle on a long trip, you are guaranteed to have a really sore butt when you exit the vehicle. I imagine the intent was to offer strong support in the seats, but this is an SUV, not a sports car.

Great Snow Car

My other vehicle is a German car with fat run flat tires. I needed something bigger that would not sideline me with an inch of snow. The 4Runner Trail gives you a nice safe feeling. You are up high and can see the road. The ride was much better than expected. Four wheel drive and idiot proof dials make snow travel easy. I also like the audio components and backup TV viewer.

Great value, reliable vehicle reasonable gas milea

We were very happy with our last 4 Runner - we owned it for 14 years (a '97) and it never needed other than minor repairs. We decided on a new vehicle and wanted to look around. Well, Ford no longer has a FULL frame SUV, Chevy/GMC no longer makes a midsize SUV (Trail Blazer). The Dakoda/Jeep has had some problems. So, we stuck with the 4 Runner (the 2011 is a little bigger than our '97) but has the same mileage as our '97, about 22 mpg. It pulls our boat without working hard - it's rated at 5000 lbs. The Crossovers can't pull that weight! The 4Runner is a great value.

You can't go wrong

Have a 2011 4runner trail edition with KDSS 5000 miles. Love it! It's has evrything is was looking for in an SUV. The rides great, descent gas mileage, great in snow, holds alot of gear and comfortable. Off road it is a total beast. The only thing I would like different is that they offer a better off road tire for the Trail edition. Put a good pair of off road tires on this and it will take you any where a Jeep can go.

cramped front passenger space

I was quite pleased with the 2011 Toyota 4Runner until I sat in the front passenger seat while my wife drove. I am 6'3" tall and weigh 220. I could barely squeeze in. The enormous plastic covering for what I suppose is the air conditioner air handler and God knows what else went almost straight down to the floor from under the glove compartment. It stopped about one inch from the floor allowing the toes of your shoes to just slip under. It was virtually impossible to stretch out in any fashion. One of the worst interior designs I have ever encountered. This is an SUV for very small! people
