After once again reducing its prices for the Model S lineup a few days ago, Tesla has announced a few changes for the all-electric luxury sedan.

The Model S will now come with what Tesla calls a high-visibility glass roof, which the automaker claims will offer the same ultraviolet-ray protection while giving a clearer view of the sky; Tesla says the roof lets in five times more light, weighs less, reduces the car’s center of gravity and improves handling. A new $3,000 exterior paint color option called Ultra Red is also now available, and the Plaid variant gets new high-performance brakes with red brake calipers. Additionally, Tesla has brought back the traditional round steering wheel and offers it as an option alongside the steering yoke, as previously announced in January. The rest of the Model S’s styling carries over.
The Model S offers two electric powertrain configurations. The base trim uses two electric motors for a total system output of 670 horsepower, and the range-topping Plaid variant uses three electric motors for 1,020 hp. All-wheel drive is standard.
The Model S starts at $91,380 (all pricing includes the $1,390 destination charge and excludes any tax credits), and the Plaid starts at $111,380. Both versions are ineligible for the $7,500 federal tax credit.
