2025 Subaru Outback consumer reviews

So tired of people saying this car is under powered. Base 4cyl has plenty of power to go through mountain passes and whatever else you need. If you want to make up for your insecurities, maybe this isn’t that car for you. I see a Mustang or F-150 in your future. Put your foot to the floor and it moves, like it should. Drive like a sane person and it rewards you at the pump. Safest cars on the road too!

I bought the premium 182 hp, CVT underpowered engine revs going up slightest hill, tow 2700lbs, really! My bad I test drove I just did not take enough time and go up hills and rough road. The wind and road noise are excessive, to this day I am amazed and pissed at myself that missed this on test drive. I would encourage you really test if you want this car.

This is my sixth Subaru and I wouldn't dream of getting any other make. My Outback Touring XT is the best of the best. I love it.

I bought my 2025 Outback Onyx XT from Villages Subaru the last day of January 2025. This is our 15th Subaru vehicles. Of those 14 were Outbacks and one was a Forrester we had many years ago. I love this 2025 Outback for the way it handles, all of the safety features and the way it looks. I would recommend it to anyone in the market for a new car.

I had leased 2 outbacks perviously. They were 3 year leases. This one I purchased. They are extremely reliable and the all wheel drive is superb. I have the turbo charged engine because it is needed to get quickly into traffic. The safety features and resale value are the best of all other cars.

I have only been driving my new Outback for about three weeks, and I am so impressed by this car. The car handles very well, I love that the car has great visibility and I love that it’s good on gasoline. The Benz that I walked away from was no where near this easy to drive, park or handle so well. I’m still learning the features of the car, and the dealership has offered to help me with anything that I may be unsure about. I’m grateful for that. The safety features this company in known for is the reason why I chose the brand. I’m very pleased and excited about this car.

My wife and I are retired and decided we needed a car with many safety features and so I researched other SUV's, in this class. What I came up with, that Subaru has the best features for the safety, money, low Maintenace and is reliable. Our Daughter-in-law has a GMC Arcadia and it is not as nice.

I've had my Outback premium 5 months and I'm 100% satisfied with this car. This is my third Subaru (Impreza, Crosstrek, Outback) and all have performed flawlessly. I live in Wisconsin where 4 wheel drive is an asset. The car is easy to start and warms up quickly during cold weather. The interior is comfortable and controls are easy to use and understand. The LED headlights are outstanding. Highly recommended.

In was actually looking to obtain a new 2025 Forester but, there were none available the day I took my 2021 Forester in for an assessment. I'm a leaser! There were a couple of 2025 Outback's on the lot. After being shown the vehicle and test driving it 3 separate times that afternoon four and half hours later I was driving back home in the new 2025 Outback. That's how much I enjoyed the experience! It sits a little lower than what I had been used to the past 3 years driving a Forester but, I thought it handled better and was actually more like a car than an SUV. The driver's area is like a cockpit. I'm a larger guy and I was looking for a little more room but, the Outback's interior is not so much smaller that I can't live with it or enjoy it! actually, the more I drive it, the more I enjoy the vehicle! Also, I like that Subaru products have been usually highly rated by various organizations. Also, the safety features are top notch. The front window view is what another thing truly love about Subaru vehicles. The way my Forester handled snow and ice in the winter was just HUGE in a positive way! So, I'm hoping the Outback will be the same! Actually, having an SUV like vehicle that handles like a car is the main reason I decided to lease the 2025 Subaru Outback! It's always mentioned about how loud Subaru engines are and the acceleration isn't as great as with other models. Personally, I find neither issue to be a problem! I on't even think about it and the acceleration is fine enough for me. Noise?!? Well, diesel engines are noisy. I'm not driving a an EV or Hybrid! I actually believe EV's are too quiet!
