Subaru Outback wagons 2006 and up
After 2006 the issues with over heating have been resolved. Tough vehicle. Good fuel mileage. Great for taking your dog family with you. They need to make a 1.8 Liter model.

4 cylinder Subaru Outback
I had the car for 2 years at least (bought it already high miles) and was able to put another 20k miles. Overall the car was great and I should say I believe it's amazing in the beginning (low mileage), a lot of things had to be fixed (those were still original parts tho). For everyone buying it please pay attention and figure out if the head gasket was replaces (it's a MUST), if timing belt and water pump were replaced as needed at 100-120k mi, also make sure the catalyst is fine, mine tended to give me check engine lights, I wouldn't recommend it on high miles but otherwise the car was great and I had 24mpg in mixed driving. Irreplaceable in snow.

B9 Tribeca : Road warrior
Bought it new October 7 th, 2005. Only one on lot, fully loaded, 7 passenger, rear seat entertainment, navigation system, sun roof, puddle lights, leather, power seats, automatic tranny, the works! Best car I?ve ever owned, almost 13 years later. Actually a beautiful paint job. I have only garage kept it, the last 2.5 years. Was out in elements before. Tires: originals lasted 8 years, showed signs of dry rot, tread was at 65%, so changed them. 2 nd set-still going strong. Maitanance: always did the maitanance. Brakes//rotors: 2 sets, each axle. Always replaced brake fluid with brake job. Oil changes: switched to synthetic?went 6 k between oil changes. Front end: replaced front end rubber bushings twice?minor adjustments each time. Starter: replaced in year 12. Boots: replaced front boots once. Bulbs: headlights, every 4 years, turn signals, back up etc?12 years. Battery: every 4 years Plugs, timing CHAIN: still going strong. Cabin filter: every 4 years Plugs/with coils a bear to replace. Mine have 120 k on them?still going strong. To replace plugs?-unbolt engine&tranny?jack it up, replace plugs. No room to get hands in. 500 bucks at dealers. Gonna get 250 k out of these plugs. Lol. Schocks?still fine. **i did replace brake fluid reservoir, after tech left cap loose, leaves, dirt got inside. Replaced flushed. Looks brand new?showroom condition. Rides well, tranny fine, handles well. Fast. 18 city, 24 highway with ac running. **changing head lamps a nightmare with big hands. Subaru tech does it for 40 bucks labor?worth it. Great in snow, rain. And great. Amazing vehicle , better than my 1996 outback limited edition with gold wheels.

Needs lots of TLC
Love the way it drives. The maintenance costs seem high and components seem to wear out before they should. If you can do your own work, the car is great.

Worst Experience Ever
Save yourself from a 2006 Outback. Catalytic converter went out and it will cost 1/2 the value of the car to repair. Specs are so tight on emissions that other options are possible. Don't go where I went.

This will be my 3rd Subaru
Breckenridge, CO. Life at 10'000 ft brings with it a ton of these little crossover sport sort of vehicles. A lot of my friends have had these, so as soon as schools over I'm getting one. My last subaru was an old loyale , but I hit an ice patch and went off a switchback, vslid off a cliff and rolled. No bueno. I was still able to nurse back out to a state access road and get her home. I think they're a dependable car. Good for putting your snowboard on and camping gear in. Also pretty good in a rollover. Buckle up!

4th Subaru
Not as reliable as my first 3 Subarus. Still drives and handles great but had several electrical problems, and other problems, including losing power while driving. Owned this longer and with more miles than the others. Lots of repairs after 80k miles.
