1995 Subaru Legacy consumer reviews

I inherited this car from my family when I turned 16 and we’d already owned it for 5+ years. It came from VT and followed me down the coast to PA, where after years of loyal service, I gave it to a kid to take to college cross country in Texas. At the time she left I’d put more than 270,000 mi on, and it eagerly puttered right on off! Car was crazy durable and saw me through my learning to drive years as well as the harsh New England winters. Entire pieces would fall off sometimes, and I always figured I didn’t need them, because that little car just kept purring! Subys are great in snow and can go forever!

My father (RIP) purchased this car in October of 1994 and it currently has 227,000 MI. Has taken me on many extended road trips and never once let me down. Take care of the maintenance and these cars will last a long time!!

This car by far met my needs. I currently have 227 thousand original miles on this car and no check engine light. I love the car so much I still have it.

Had to put to salvage my old suby.engine and transmission are good.But...body "biodegrades " badly.especially rear wheel wells and underneath.

I've had this car since 1996 and it's still still running strong. It's smooth, small, and very easy to drive.

This car has been great. It has needed maintenance and some repairs.Looks disreputable. But it's been my pal for 17+ years. Its exhaust is leaking, so it's time for it to go.

I bought this car from a family member two years ago and it is still running strong with 160,000 miles!

I am the orginial owner and with 225K miles, I never had a major problem. Just routine maintance, belts, tires, and bulbs. I change the oil every 5k and it runs like it could go another 200K.

I have had this car since it was new. It has never failed me and is probably the best car I've ever owned in 35 yrs of driving.Winter driving is fun again. The harsher the conditions the better. I will buy another if it ever wears out.......

This is my 2nd Legacy Wagon that I have owned...and i love it!!! Paid a bit more for it...but it's well worth it. 176,000 miles an still purrin' strong. Subaru defintely knows how to make somethin' reliable and strong for the long haul... move over Toyota/Honda/Ford/Chevy/Dodge...... look in your rear view mirror....there's a subaru in your view right now.... Muhahaha.
