2006 Subaru Impreza consumer reviews

Was looking for a manual with AWD that wouldn't break the bank. This 06 feels like a 2012 car with the way it handles and drives. Hatchback design is great and AWD system gives me confidence in any conditions.

Reliable, good in the snow. Not extremely costly to fix. Interior could be a but more comfortable and Subaru could offer better options in their base models.

This car has all the power I want and is very comfortable as well! I have no problems getting up to speed on the highway. I never get stuck in the snow. In fact I help people stuck in the snow! I have fun driving my car and I enjoy it's reliability. I will drive this car until it breaks fix it and do it over and over again!!

So much fun to drive! Spacious, fast, comfy, everything you would ever want in a car! The AWD with the turbocharger is just so awesome for a car in this class, I highly recommend it.

This car will bring a smile to your face almost everytime. It has a 2.5L 4 cylinder turbocharged engine with a 6 speed transmission that's almost near bulletproof. Very reliable, but it does suck down gas like it's nothing. 10/10 would recommend getting.

I've owned it for a little over a year used with 83k miles. I currently have about 106k. Car runs like a dream if you take good care of it. Most reliable car I've owned.

I bought this car used at very low mileage in 2009 and do not put much mileage on each year but considering the age of the car it has been very reliable. Mechanical issues I have had are: replacement head gasket (known issue with this era Subaru), leak in my exhaust vapor canister due to poor placement, and control arms had to be replaced. The car is a bit noisy compared to new cars and its very basic inside but that is what you know your getting with a Subaru. All wheel drive always does great in the snow and the hatch back has been very useful when having to lug things around from place to place. Cloth seats have held up very well considering I have a dog now as well.

I think this car does a really good job at everything it should do. But people tend to make them sound amazing.
