Best truck I've ever owned

Big, roomy, and powerful. Compared to my old 2001 Dodge Ram 1500, I can't even tell I'm towing my boat. The four wheel drive power is strong. It is easy to switch between four wheel and two wheel drive with just a turn of a knob.

Ram Owner

Liked the vehicle when it was running well. Several recalls. Intermittent failure to start from right after purchase. Dodge Service could never solve the the problem. A clunking sound developed in the front end which Dodge Service couldn't explain and subsequently ignored.

2014 Ram 2500 Crew Cummins Diesel 4x4 AT 16k Miles

I loved the look of the Rams with the Black Express Package, so i bought one with a Cummins. I ended up not liking the bouncy front end, and it was too high to get into even though I am 6'3''. I also didn't like the throttle response at low speeds. The engine also lugged at slow speeds with 3.42 gears, I would put it in tow/haul mode in the city to keep from lugging. I almost got ran over twice getting on to the highway because of the poor throttle response. The interior looked and felt great, fun to drive on longer trips. Good fuel mileage and excellent at pulling a trailer at highway speeds. I did sell the truck after a few thousand miles to go back to an older durmax/allison combo that was much better for my driving style. The truck only had one issue while I owned it for a few thousand miles i had it. The Transmission filter was crossed threaded from the factory, causing the truck not to engage into reverse when starting it cold for about 5-15 seconds until the pump built pressure. Issue was fixed by Ram under warranty at about 17,000 miles.

dont like truck at all

We have some ram 5500 hundred work trucks that I really like so after a lot of looking and thinking I bought a 2500. The only good part on this truck is the diesel engine, the rest would be better quality if made in china. Have had a lot of problems with def system. A lot of small things like the programing in the evic cluster drive me nuts. The evic will display all this info but is worthless because If you set it on the gauge summary for example it only stays there until you turn off truck. Every time you turn it off and restart it returns to the stupid tire pressure screen, which is normal operation for 2500. You also have to have your tire pressure warning light on constantly if you don't want your tires at 80 psi which is a ridiculous high pressure for 90% of the 2500's on the road most of the time. I could go on but I just don't like the truck, my honest opinion.
