Sorry to see it go
I have owned my 1989 Porsche 928 S4 Auto for 4 years, but it's time to let it go. To someone who has never driven one, you're in for a treat. The power is seamless and so is the torque. It's smooth but with a deep V8 rumble. The styling is to die for. You'll either love it or hate it. The S4 and later GTS models are timeless to look at, especially if the wheels have been tastefully upgraded to a more modern size. This is a world-class Grand Tourer (GT) car. I've driven from Las Vegas to beyond Phoenix for a 1 hour appointment and then driven straight back (11 hours). When I got home, I could have done it again. Masterful design. For a 1980s car, the features are ahead of their time: digital computer giving mpg, spds, temperature, range to empty etc.; 8-way power seats, 3 memory settings for seats and mirrors; aluminum body panels, and automatic climate control. Gas mileage is as expected for a 5.0L V8, I averaged 17-18 mpg in mostly highway-biased driving. There are plenty of parts (new and used) still available and huge amounts of support and knowledge on the internet forums (particularly Rennlist). Beware of buying a cheap one (there are plenty). It can eat you out of house and home if there are electrical problems or if you don't maintain it properly. Always get it inspected by someone who knows 928s, not just a Porsche guy, before you part with any money. Don't worry about high mileage as cars that have been driven regularly are usually better mechanically than ones that have been stored for years.

928 is a dream
Dream car with speed & looks. Heads will turn, girls will smile. This particular car is well known in the Texas, DFW 928 circles. Dependable, well cared for, great owner. I would buy it if I did not already own 2. Get the car you dreamed about in the late 80's early 90's for a great price. This car retailed for $75,000 in 1989. Excellent power and performance for a 20+year old car. The lines are classic and immediately recognizable. Porsche 911 drivers will stop and look. Dependable, exciting and fun. Drive up to a restaurant valet, the country club, the gas station, the office and heads will turn, you will get thumbs up and big smiles. Even my wife enjoys riding in it. This is a once in a lifetime thrill. Somebody buy this thing and make your neighbors jealous. Mid-life crisis? Anybody can buy a new Porsche, Corvette or Ferrari. A collector, lover of the classics, serious enthusiast pulls up in a 928. Go ahead, you know you want to.

300k and still solid
I am a big fan of Porsche automobiles the reliability on the 911's is second to none, I recently purchased a 928 from the original owner 2 months ago showing 292,xxx on the clock for $1000 bucks, thinking I would tune it up and sell it for a small if any profit! Well it's now running great feels fantastic on the road and doesn't leak or burn any oil! All It needed was a couple of vacuum lines replaced and an oil change! after driving it every day since purchased I have pulled the "for sale" sign from the window I get complimented all the time on it The valet parked it up front next to the ferrari at the casino, I'd be a fool to sell this car for even twice the the amount I paid for it! the Porsche 928 has broken the mold(literally!) when it comes to what a quality sports car should be!

Funnest daily driver I've ever owned
This car is a ton of fun - I just bought one the other daay, and the power is incredible, and it's such a solid feeling car for something over 20 years old. Beautiful looks - most cars even today haven't caught up with how great this car looks.
