Sporty & very fast!

I LOVE PONTIACS! THEY'RE VERY SPORTY & COMFORTABLE CARS. I KNOW I WILL PROBABLY NEVER OWN ANOTHER FAST SPORTY CAR LIKE MY GTO, & I VERY MUCH ENJOYED THE TIME I'VE HAD WITH IT. IT'S NOT JUST DEPENDABLE BUT IT GETS EXCELLENT GAS MILEAGE.

Fast Fast Fast!!!!

I just got this car and it feels great. The handling is awesome, great shifting and control. I love the interior ,this car is very under rated. I have a mustangs, charger, Monte Carlo, firebird, BMW but this car by car is the fastest. I'm truly satisfied.

Affordable Performance

Great American muscle car. The LS1 engine and the Tremac T56 are a great combo. Plush interior. Throaty purr under moderate acceleration. Only cons are: poor very visibility, lack of power lock button, and lack of dead pedal. Excellent value.

Better than the 1969 GTO I once had.

I can't believe that they didn't sell a million of these GTOs (imported from Holden in Australia). This is the best made, best styled, best performance car I've ever owned, including Camaro, Chevelle, GTO, and Corvette. One shortcoming is the leather seats split along the seams.

Cool, Reliable, Fast

For someone wanting a cool, fast and reliable car I would choose it. You just have to find the right car as there are many problems with the 04-06 Pontiac GTO's such as the front suspension and wheel wobble at 40-60 MPH that GM never really fixed or provided a solution to. Easy to upgrade and will last forever if you maintain the car correctly.

Incredible and Different!

Every time I drove this car people thought it was ordinary until they heard the engine. This is the funnest car I have ever driven with great power and sleeper-like design. It is an eye popper and just all around amazing. It is unfortunate that Pontiac went out of business but the later model G8's are amazing too. The best part about the GTO is the rarity.

Rocket Ship

I own a GTO in the yellow jacket color. It's got a Diablo Sport flash tune, K&N cold air intake, Flowmaster 40 exhaust with hi flow cats, no mufflers. Short throw shifter. Man, is this car fun to drive, and that's coming from a die hard truck guy. I laugh when mustangs rev their motor's at stop lights. Not only is this car fast, but you could definitely take this on a long trip. It rides like a Cadillac. It does have its quirks though. Sometimes when I hit 5,000 rpm, my gage cluster and radio will just shut down and all these warning lights will come on. It goes away after a few seconds, but it's really annoying. Other than that, it's a fun car to drive and makes a great daily driver too!

True muscle spirit

Car is wonderful plenty of power and almost to much torque. MPG is good for a V8. The interior is comfy and and we'll designed, keep the leather polished to avoid splitting. It excelarates like a ZO6 Rides like a Caddy and cost far far less.

Best car for the buck!

The best car I have owned, one of the best sounding cars out there. I mean it has a corvette engine so you know it's solid! It's also not to bad on gas with the 6 speed trans. But my favorite part is how unique the car is you see maybe one a week if your looking for one.

Most Fun behind The Wheel

I've driven many "hot" cars since I first drove in the mid 60s. Sports cars, Detroit steel muscle cars and pony cars. The 2004 GTO is faster and handles better that it's predecessors. The 5.7 liter power plant runs smooth and supplies all the power to the rear tires through a smooth shifing 6-speed manual. Most fun I've had behind a wheel since I dropped a 428 in a 67 Cougar in 1970.
