Accessible blend of history and performance

2002 was the end of the line for performance cars at Pontiac. The Firebird and Trans Am were iconic muscle cars that helped define the genre. I was lucky in finding 1 of 2000 Collector Edition models with super low miles. The car runs strong, handles well, and still looks great 19 years later. The interior is dated but nobody buys a Trans Am for the interior. It is still fast and fun to drive. Getting a 4th generation Firebird is more economical then buying a project and restoring/modifying it to meet modern standards. This car is for serious drivers to are tired of the current run of the mill cookie-cutter tin can cars today, and it is half the price of current muscle car remnants, it can still keep up with most of them too!

Great car to remember what performance can be

I am the 4th owner of a low mileage Collectors Edition Trans Am. As the end of the production line this car is as modern as the 4th Gen F bodies are and had the best handling and performance package this side of a Corvette. The best part of the car is the community and amount of upgrades you can get for it. The hardest part is deciding how far I want to tune and push the car or keep as original as possible for historical sake. It drives great and responds better then the current bland and cookie cutter coupes available today.

Fun older car.

Love the Pontiac. Wish they would have never closed them down. Last of one of the American muscle cars. Would love for Gm to bring them back. They should have not let the government shut them down.

Timeless Classic Styling

Decent performance for a V6. Plastic parts of interior are cheap and crack from sunlight. Very sporty looks that turn heads. It is a fun car to drive, and handles well on a twisty road. Somewhat cramped interior, but comfortable for extended drives.

Fun to Drive and to be seen in

I have had it for 17 years. Very reliable. One of the best looking cars ever! Love driving it with the T-Tops off. Plenty of Power 0-60 5.2 seconds. Good fuel economy at 25 MPG on hyway

Great car

This is a fun car to drive, looks nice and only 2,000 were made. This is the last year Pontiac made the TransAM and I have enjoyed driving it on the weekends. Has mostly sat in garage due to it being a collectors car

The most eye-catching coupe in a great color

An example of the last year the Firebird was produced, this car gets many "thumbs up" and turned heads on the road. It's 3.8 L V6 is quick on the pedal and this car feels way heavier than it looks. T-tops come off easily and store in the trunk area. Overall, a really fun ride that gets looks on the road and parked.

Best car I have evr owned

It is one of the best looking car on the road. Fun to drive especially with T-Top removed. 0 to 60 in 5 sec. Actually pretty comfortable when driving. If you buy this car people will look and be attracted to the car.
