Eventually leaked oil like crazy.

Eventually leaked oil like crazy. Northstar engine had bad inherent design flaws thus had to eventually be killed by GM. At the time body design was good and interior nice appointments. I was a Realtor at the time and would leave my mark (oil spots) everywhere I parked the dam thing.

Aurora-best car of it's class

The only thing I have had complications with is the cup holders and space it allows. Definitely for long trips it needs a more stable cup holder. Other than that it's a really great car and awesome on fuel considering it's a v8

Best car I've ever owed

This is the best American vehicle that came out in the 90s. Even to this day the car looks very contemporary and turn heads everywhere you go. It was so far ahead of its time, some people did not even understand it, it was revolutionary car in the 90s!!! Aurora was the only American car that was much better offering than Mercedes and BMW of that time!

My 2nd million dollar car. My First was Olds 98!

Pay GM Finance first 3 years, pay myself next 20 years and invest at 8% to become worth a million dollars. Owned my 98 Olds for 35 years and used this strategy to build my first million dollar net worth. Such a shame that folks give away a fortune to drive new. And a shame that Olds built cars so well dedicated Olds owners didn't have to recycle every 3 years.

Excellent car!

Love my Aurora- second one . performance and 26mpg on highway with the Autobahn package. NorthStar great engine as long as you do not blow head gasket- poor design - @ 125K redid the shocks and struts and rides better than new cars

1987Mercedes 420sel

Great car, but old, love it. So far it has been very dependable. I bought the car for 15 years. I want to buy a 2008 Audi A8, it is such a beautiful car. But I will never get rid of my Mercedes.

Beauty and Beast

With the smaller Northstar V* (approx 280 HP), this car performs well in all situations. Also, great ride and surprisingly good handling (Michelin MX4's). The reliability of the car has been good but it does have some electrical system gremmlins that occassionally surface (heated seat swith for driver side works sometimes). Love the body design and the quality of interior surfaces. Great sound system for a 1999 vintage car. Terrific gas mileage (25 mpg on highway when driving normally). I would buy a newer version but, of course, Oldsmobiles have gone out of production. Parts are easy to get and any mechanic who knows GM can work on the car since it shares heavily with Cadillac and Buick.

Best american car ever

For a 22 years old car design she is the best. It is my # 4 and still today, GM dealers can not give me what I want for the price. Suspension and economy for under $ 5000 . The car never let me down. 26 / mp g. come on. She is good for 300.000 miles.

Olds Aurora-Best Car I have Had

I have 1999 oldsmobile aurora with 234k, and it runs perfectly, I didnt have to do anything to it until about 230k ( a little engine work). 10 out 10 would recommend to a person buying their first car or looking for a car just to drive for a while. Love the interior of the car, it is so different that you won't find it in any other car you find, all of the dashboard is facing you so you feel like your are in a cockpit of an airplane. I may have just gotten lucky with this car, but the enigne is a very reliable engine: 4.0 liter V8 Northstar is one of the best engines that Cadillac put out!
