Getting 41 MPG Average

I read a lot of car reviews before purchasing a car. I recommend that you don't waste your time reading the so called "expert reviews" because they are a waste of time especially if you are looking for a practical car. They think that everyone is looking for luxury, fancy style and extreme performance in every car they review. For the price of this car and it's class, it is the best value I have found. If you are looking for what the "experts" think, this is probably not the car for you. If your looking for a very practical car with excellent gas milage, this is a great car. I get 41mpg driving to work going between 45 and 65 MPH with a handfull of stop lights/signs. I haven't taken it on vacation, but when I compared all of the cars in it's class it has the most passenger room and cargo space. The only thing that this car lacks is a cubby hole to put your sunglasses, but I solved that by buying a clip that holds them on the visor (only reason for 4 on interior design rating). Hope this helps you to make a decision on your new car.

2013 Nissan Versa S

Good car for the money, and no else offers a car that starts at $10,700. A small car with a huge interior, back seat and the legroom is like a huge sedan. Mine is the base 'S' 1.6, only 'extra' is the automatic trans. For the base 'S', you don't get Nissan's CVT, but a regular 4-speed automatic, which is fine. Shifts very well and is quiet/smooth. Car rides well and is quiet, not much road or wind noise. Very good MPG's, the computer has me averaging 41 with highway and some city driving & traffic as well (my commute is around 150 miles r/t). A good, solid, comfortable car with a very roomy interior and trunk, from a premium automaker at an unheard-of price. I'm happy with my Nissan Versa.

Happy Driver of a 2013 Versa

Great experience with Fontana Nissan, I did my homework and went to trade in my 2009 Versa, I knew what the value was, and what I expected to pay. I started with Leon he helped with my selection, we then went in and dealt with Marlon, the deal was closed pretty easily, they told me everything I expected to hear and didn't try to take advantage of me especially being a woman. Wes in finance finalized the paperwork quickly and professionally. I am now very happily driving a 2013 Versa. Thank you Fontana Nissan!

BANG 4 BUCK!

Just got the 2013 VERSA S PLUS w/ CVT and my girlfriend and I are loving it. 3 star for comfort due to a seat that's a little too small as in my legs aren't quite supported as well as I'd like. Feel like I'm hanging off the end and I'm not a tall guy. No center arm rest. Lot's of cup holders and quiet ride. Generous leg room in the back seats. Steering wheel tilts and headroom is nice! 5 star performance! It performs amazing for what it is. Sticker says 40mpg highway, we get 43.5 highway! And doing the math, we average between city/highway an impressive 40.1mpg due to the new CVT. Enough pep to march up steep hills and turning radius is fair! 4 star exterior. Looks way better then previous versa sedan (in my opinion). Enjoy the spoiler w/ LEDs and mud flaps are appreciated. But only 1 key hole on driver side? lame. 3 star interior. No trunk release! Easy to use media panel. No pockets for misc stuff in the dash. It's all very basic and average. But we didn't ask for more. Really wish there was a trunk release though. 5 value. Greater gas milage then stated and almost matching those of hybrids that double the price. 1st Tune up isn't required till 105,000 miles! Spacious for a compact. Brand new at $13,600! With that small price tag for a brand new car, I'm guessing sale value will not depreciate as badly either. 5 reliability. It's such a basic vehicle, there really isn't much to break. Manual windows and locks, I like. Two speed transmission. Chain driven, means far less tune ups. Advanced airbags surround the cabin. Doors give a healthy air tight sound when closing. 5 star OVERALL. Because, this is the car that fits our needs. Amazing on gas, made by a trusted brand, price tag is very reasonable, dumbfoundingly easy to maintain. It's very basic inside and out but in the end, we don't need anything more then a car that will just get us "there" safely and for less buck.

Great First Car For Daughter

I have owned many Nissans and only looked at the Versa SV after it was redesigned for 2013. Earlier models were just too small. This car represents a great value considering the safety features with the curtain air bags, antilock brakes, and the traction control. The engine and automatic combination makes the car very easy to drive, and with 4 adults, the performance exceeded my expectations. This cars has decent power and great 38 plus MPG. I would have liked a larger gas tank, to get to the 500 mile range of an Altima. This car was bought for my daughter, and her positive reaction to the styling, options, and interior space will keep her hooked on this brand. The visibility is great and access to the basic engine check points are benefits to this car. It is a fact that the car lacks some quality in the interior, and does not have alot of fancy technology. In this car, less is really more.

good base car

i have the base nissan. it comes with the essentials ac and a cd player. manual door looks are the only thing that is somewhat bothersome with small kids. and the drivers side door is the only one with a spot to unlock the door. other than that it is cheap good gas mileage. 39mpg with a light foot mixed. i have a manual. hvac is a liittle hard to get used to going from an fj cruiser to this. enough space to fit three kids in the back easy. its a pretty big back seat. and if you squint it looks like a sentra. some cheap rims and this thing will look good.

Cheap tansportation

It is cheap, fairly quiet, actually quite peppy for what it is. Mileage seems good with out a need to change my driving habits. Have to open the door to change the seat height or tilt. Did I mention it's cheap? No issues at highway speeds or rough roads. I would not want to drive it across country but for short drives (100 miles) it seems fine. Grocery getter supreme.
