Explore the 2010 Nissan Cube

Refrigerator with wheels

This is what you get when a French car maker like Renault designs a car for Nissan. Sure, the Cube is very roomy and comes with bluetooth and alll kinds of electronic gadgetry of the sort, but at what cost? This car is so ugly that I ended up with a Scion Xb. It had the same options as the Cube but without that grotesque exterior.

Great Car for Mom

My nearly 80 year old mother bought one earlier this summer. She loves it - she is 4'11" and could no longer safely and comfortably drive her older, larger 4-wheel drive SUV. She no longer drives out of town and only uses the Cube for her in town errands. The large windows give her great visability, she can easily step in and out of it, and the rear gate opens easily for loading and unloading. The small size makes it easy for her to maneuver, the gas mileage is great, and the price was right for someone on a modest fixed income. She bought the base model 1.8S with the automatic transmission and it had everything she needed - the electric windows and door locks, and remote keyless entry. It gives her the independence to keep on driving. And her teenage grandchildren think Grandma has a cool car!

Great "First Car"

I am a college student, who had a suburban which was given to me by my parents. Downsizing was the best decision I ever made, not only for all the space that I didn?t need, but for the gas mileage! The hip, new age, sportiness that this car has, is amazing! I love the way it handles, rides, and TURNS!!! The comments and all the looks that I get because of my ?box? always make my day. If I had the chance to do it again, I would!

cant believe this neat cube!!

I was on vacation in May 2010 in Orlando and rented a car. I rounded the corner and found a cube. I was apprehensive at first, till the wife and I got in it. We drove all over town enjoying the cube so much, I wanted to drive a new one when we got back. I really wasn't looking for a new car, but ended up trading by paid for 05 Dodge Ram in and am very happy! Lots of room, handles great, great mileage!!Peppy enough to run 75 to 80.I added wind deflectors, and have noticed little wind noise. First car I ever fell for and i.m 6 foot and have great room for me and the family of 4 to zip around in. Puts the Kia Soul to shame. Get you a toaster. You will love it too!!

Only car I've ever truly loved.

I purchased my cube to replace a Toyota Tacoma 4x4 in August of 2009. I had seen them, read up on them and had them in my file to test drive. They were hard to find at the time. Upon test driving it, I literally and completely fell in love. The styling, from the little things like a cup holder on the dash to the left of the steering wheel and the ripple effect on the ceiling, to the important things like cargo room (including back seat area, where there is NO hump - just flat floor!), which is important to me as a working musician with gear to haul, is super impressive. And all I need to say is that, to this day, when I'm driving down the highway, people who happen to pass me, or whom I pass, often turn & stare, in a good way. Great gas mileage, superior unique styling, and a fun ride. Great sound system too. I couldn't believe I'd fall for a car so heavily, but I did.

Boxed in ... and loving it

We replaced our 1995 Nissan Altima with this - lots of fun and perfect around town. Amazing interior room, lots of fun features, adequate performance and handling, and feel very comfortable with Nissan given the track record of our Altima. I am not sure this would be the right car for lots of highway driving but it zips around town great and its small footprint yet huge interior makes it very utilitarian. Then there is the design..... we love it, I am sure others don't/won't. But it is fun to drive a car that is unique. Our daughter LOVES the backseat area with the reclining seats and little cubbie areas. Her friends have all expressed how cool they think it is. Plus Grandma lives with us and she likes the up high seating position (as high as many SUV's) and the really great visibility. So the whole family is in agreement on this one. One last thought - it fits both my 5'2" wife and me (6') and that can be tough to find. Overall we are happy we got it. We bought it over the Kia Soul (not as roomy and poorer backseat area) and the Madza 5 (bigger, more traditional). Good luck with your choice ... we love our big inside, small outside Cube.

LOVE my cube!

I have owned PT cruisers for 6 years. Since it is no longer being manufactured, I needed to find a suitable new car. I test-drove the Kia Soul & the Scion xB prior to driving the Cube. The Cube stood out as a fun car to drive. I have the interior lighting package which I tell people easily accomodates the ever-changing mood of any woman. I'm getting great gas mileage. There is excellent visibilty-better than any car I've driven. I have the 'bitter chocolate' color-absolutely beautiful. They aren't commonly seen on the road. It does lack a bit of acceleration but is easily manueverable on the road. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!!!

Looks are deceiving

I test drove this little beauty (Yes beauty because it is in my opinion) and I was really amazed on how well this car handled on local street and highway with the SL CVT model. Another thing I was impress with, was how smooth it drove and how really peppy this car is especially for the shape. Great visibility. It has some wind noise but it wasn't something that really stand out. My Hyundai Elantra has wind and road noise and its 13yrs old. I can understand with many people disliking the look/shape of it, but give it a test drive and look beyond it's shape. If you are looking for speed demon then this car isn't for your but for the people that need something to get around then yes its a winner. I'm even sure it would be great for long distance drive because of its comfort. Oh did I say how fun it was to test drive this little mobile device. It has a lot of great features even on the base model. I'm hoping that this car will stay in the USA market for a very long time because it will be my next car. I didn't rate it high on reliability because I wouldn't know because it's a new car in the USA market, but I'm hoping that it would rate on the high side on reliability since it's a been a hit in Japan for over a decade and its 100% made in Japan. I'm really hoping if it's here to stay that the USA market doesn't have a hand in making any of its parts in the near future. (Just my opinion)

Shockingly surprising. It is refreshing.

My wife & I where so impressed with the road test, handling, ride that we purchased two of them! His & Hers. We traded in our 2006 Armada. I was also amazed with how quick the deal was that we wanted & how fast they got us going. I was impressed with the Nissan Aramada over all the big SUV's back then ad we are eally impressed with the Cube. I got the Krom & my wife got the next model down.......DON'T KNOCK THEM! DRIVE ONE...
