My favorite ever.
When it was newer the engine had some issues and a couple of recalls. I had the engine replaced because of a piece of metal getting into a cylinder. That when it was 10 years old and had 105,000 miles on it. Since then mostly maintenance. I do some myself. I enjoy driving it more than any car I've had before. The fastest, best handling and most economical, gas wise of any of them. I've gotten as much as 44mpg with it on a trip. Only mods I made to the engine are a K&N air filter cleanable cartridge and a blow off valve for the turbocharger.

The Manny Pacquiao of cars!
I got this Mini Cooper S with a manual trans 6 speed convertible. I guess the S stands for Super Fast! This tiny car will increase your heart rate so be careful driving it if you have cardiac issues .

Always wanted Mini now I am really disappointed
Look to look at. Has a lot of pickup for small car. Pretty small except for two adults in front seat. Back seat would not be comfortable except small children. Does not take rough roads or bumps well.

Lovin' my cooper.
Nice little peppy gas saver even with the turbo charger. Shifts very smooth, almost as if there is no wrong gear to be in. I get compliments on it everyday. Everything else is nice. Only knock I would say is there switches are in some wierd places.

Just Awesome Cars
The newer models have been scaled back a bit to meet the US EPA standards, so they are much lighter than the older models, such is the case with my 2007 model. These cars are fun to drive, lots of comfort, kinda road noisy on long trips, very powerful, and are extremely expensive to repair. You must run 91 octane gas, noted and required by the manufacturer, labeled and stated on the gas tank fill door, so gas isn't cheap either. If you can afford them they are great cars, if you're on a budget and can't work on them yourself, they are expensive cars to maintain at a dealership, and few shops that aren't Mini dealerships have the special tools to work on these cars. Dealerships will not sell you the tools, they have to be ordered. I would definitely recommend these cars to friends who can afford them, can do their own work, but not to someone on a budget and not technically savvy.

As much as you can expect for the age of vehicle.
Apart from a bumpy ride and struts that have seen better days, the car was in good shape. It also did not come with a jack or a spare tire. Other than that, I?m satisfied with this temporary vehicle.

I love it!!! The car is reliable and spunky, flashy and fun. Plenty of room inside and easy to park due to it's small size!

Sporty, small, fast, and fun!
While the car tends to sport the same gremlins that hot most BMW owners, I find this car to be incredibly fun to own incredibly fast to drive an incredibly easy to fall in love with. Maintenance on these cars has to be a hands on approach, otherwise you?ll pay a lot for it. It?s worth the investment if you have the time. The cars hold their value very well but only if you truly love them enough to maintain them. Ride comfort is sacrificed for a low to the ground six speed manual go kart you can park anywhere. Having a convertible version helps as well. A manual transmission is the only way to only?s cars.

Very Relliable and Fun To Drive
This is the most fun I have had driving a car. Between the performance of the Cooper S turbo, suspension and convertible and leather features it cannot be beat.

Really fun to drive
It's great for canyon cruises or down the coast. Handles really well with tons of power. I will have to buy a newer one in a few years to experience the upgrades such as more power.
