A beautiful beast
I'm looking for a modern used car after my neighbor backed into me smashing the back driver side door. New modern cars suck compared to my 33-year-old beast.she handles so smoothly with a powerful quiet ride. I was even able to unscrew the entire dash and replace a headlight switch myself. I don't even spend $200 a year on maintenance she has 116,000 miles but I can't find a body shop that will repair her door. I feel safer in this car then I have in any of the modern compact cars I've driven despite the lack of airbags and a rear door that isn't quite latched due to being bashed in it's still the smoothest ride I've ever had

Reliable and comfortable
Purchased used with 85,000 miles on it in 1997. It now has just over 240,000 miles on it, and it is still going strong. I replaced the transmission at 230,000 miles, and the alternator at 220,000 miles. I made a major mistake in replacing the shocks with Heavy Duty shocks. It did improve the handling and cured the dipping and diving, but it killed the soft ride (Some people don't notice that, or even like it as it is now.).
