if all my kids were graduated

this car has so much bang for the buck. If i didn't need room for a tuba with my son in the band, I would buy it in a heart beat

LOW QUALITY car everywhere except under the hood

Mazda really cut some serious corners on these. The paint is so obnoxiously thin that my rocker panels were speckled with chips at 800 miles. You absolutely have to get it wrapped or painted if you want it to be decent. At 15k miles now, the paint is trashed. The seats are horribly uncomfortable. The dash is hard, easily scratched plastic. No armrests on the doors (not really). Horrendous body roll. But it’s reliable. So there’s that.

Fun Car!!!

This car is a blast to drive and when the weather is nice outside just press a button and the power top automatically folds up and slides into a compartment behind the cockpit. Ergonomically excellent especially with the information/Nav display control dials at your fingertips behind the shifter. The Bose stereo is amazing in this car which also includes headrest speakers for music and communications.

Reliable and outrageously fun to drive

Miata RF - GT is a beautiful, reliable car that is a joy to drive. I'm 6'1 and I fit in the car comfortably. The handling and performance of this car is better than cars with a higher price-tag. I owned a 1993 Miata that I bought new and drove for 4 years. The 2018 RF is even more fun. The last fun car I had was a Honda S2000. The RF has a lot of the same qualities that made that such a great car, and now a collector's item. The only question now is soft top or retractable fastback. Both are incredible so it's a matter of personal preference.

Wonderful. Like a mini Batmobile!!!

The trunk latch is atrocious. We had the car less than two weeks and the latch stuck, and had to have a dealer get it opened at a cost of + $160. There should be a recall on the Miata just for the trunk latch. We owned a 1995 Miata (much smaller trunk than the 2016/2019), and it never stuck even though we crammed/slammed it shut. This thing is way too sensitive and a cause of constant worry....

Fun Car to Drive

This car meets all my needs. It has plenty of legroom in the driver and passenger seats. The seats are very comfortable and the cup holders are well placed. You have control of the radio from the steering wheel and the car has two USB spaces. The trunk has limited space, you can only fit one bag, but that’s understandable for being a small car. If you are a tall person this car might not be for you (I’m 5’08”).
